Definitely worth the price
First unit I received was defective, and only detected about 40% of the total water flow. They have a quick online diagnosis tool to ID this issue. The test takes 24 hours, I recommend taking the first photo when you initially install then a day or so later take a second one and follow the instructions on their web interface to complete the test. Just to make sure. If it's not within a certain percentage it will automatically open a ticket, and you will get to experience some of the best customer service I have ever seen. I hope you don't need it, but don't plan for any corrective process to be a hassle with this teamAnyway first broken unit still helped diagnose an issue with our irrigation system. Which we were able to fix quickly saving us a ton of money (we bought this because of abnormally high water bills so we knew something was up).Anyway, the second unit was accurate enough for my needs. Please understand this isn't a direct flow read device it reads based off of the movement in your water meter so it's probably never going to be 100% accurate. However, the new unit I got was only off by about 1.3%. Which for how easy it is to install... dang... Close enough for my needs. It also confirmed a .05 GPM leak from a shower that we rarely use a few weeks ago. Which I had suspected but since that bathroom rarely gets used by me, I didn't really know it was as consistent as it was. Finally this week it detected a leak that was less than .1 GPM, it gave us a warning on our phones. Using this and turning the valves in our house I was able to quickly isolate the leak, and get it fixed before it caused any major damage that couldn't be quickly and easily repaired... or even the huge water bill that can come from leaky faucets. For $200 bucks this thing has already paid for itself, and in the age of information and the ease of adding smart devices in your home this item is a must have, find things before they become an issue. Save some money, and fix things while they are easy.

Everything has changed...
I have just ordered my 3rd Flume in five years. While I love everything about this device when it works (enough to make me keep buying), if I have issues in the next 2 years with this one, I am done.I had a Flume when they first came out. Everything worked great for a little over a year (just until the warranty was up) and then it started acting up, disconnecting from the bridge over and over, and not notifying me until I opened the app and noticed things weren't working. The Flume folks talked me into a Flume 2 - it'll connect better and more consistently!Bought a Flume 2. Everything worked GREAT, until I had to replace the batteries for the first time, a little over a year after buying it. Now the thing again disconnects from the Bridge often, not notifying me. How hard would it be for them to add a notification into the app a) the moment that the sensor shows as disconnected? and b) when it hasn't logged water for some time and you are NOT in vacation mode. Seems like something that would be part of the deal already. They used to have this great chat feature where you could chat with people nearly real-time to get your water sensor disconnected. They removed that in favor of email. It's been 36 hours since I asked for help via email, no response. Finally, my water sensor seemed hard down. I have rebooted the bridge, removed and reinstalled the batteries into my sensor, and set the sensor RIGHT NEXT TO THE BRIDGE. But it will not connect. Keeps showing as disconnected in the app (and I am yet to receive a notification on it). I can't get anyone to email me back, so I go for my 3rd Flume. This will be the last one.
