Excellent taste, slow-creeping heat, and doesn't change the flavor of the dish
This is by far my favorite hot sauce that I use as one of my secret ingredients to my spicy, home-made beef jerky. It adds heat without changing the taste or flavor of my jerky. It has a slow burn, and many who have tried my jerky initially thought it wasn't spicy at all... until the slow burn creeps in and they are wowed by the extra KICK.Most of my friends and family cannot handle more than 2 drops in their soup bowl -- it's THAT spicy! The only complaint I have is that the eye dropper plastic actually DISINTEGRATED on me the first time I purchased it. I'm not sure how or why, but my best guess is that the sauce ate through the eye dropper when I transported it to and from work on a daily basis. I have since separated the content into smaller glass bottles so that I can leave one at home and one at work. Also, do not leave the item in the refrigerator. Doing so may have contributed to the disintegration of the eye dropper. This second time around, I'm storing the product in a dark, cool pantry. [UPDATE 1/1/2018: the sauce did not eat through the dispenser this time. However, the potency of the sauce seems to deteriorate over time.]If you found this review helpful, please hit the "Yes" button to encourage me to write more. Thank you!

Best thing you’ll have in your spice rack
This may just be one of the top 5 things I run out of the house with if it were on fire! :)A former chef of 20 yrs and crazy about spicy food I have always struggled with adding a lot of heat without the flavor of the chilie I was using to spice it. This will just give heat to whatever dish without altering the flavor so if you are a chef, spice foodie or creative developing your own dishes ,your dishes will taste just as you like it with whatever level of heat you desire. Not for the faint hearted. If you are a beginner do not use more than a drop before tasting and adjusting, or I don’t recommend at all for those who only like light or medium heat. If like me you love real heat, this will bring it and won’t disappoint. One of the BEST ingredients in my kitchen. I wish I could give it 10 stars

It's legit
I ordered this 10 YEARS AGO and still have half a bottle left, because you need so little at a time. I haven't touched it in a couple of years, and just discovered that it worked its way up the glass dropper to the rubber squeeze top, and has been melting it away. (see pics) I guess you should try to use it in a more reasonable amount of time. Awesome stuff, for sure. Be careful.

Great product, needs better dropper.
I carry a bottle of this with me everywhere, adding a few drops to food when needed. The name "Pure Cap" is somewhat deceiving, as it is not pure capsaicin, it is capsaicin mixed with vegetable oil. Pure capsaicin is crystalline, and closer to 16,000,000 scoville, rather than the 500,000 in this. At first I was confused by the dark brownish-red color of the drops, because capsaicin is colorless, but now I think it is intentional. As coloring isn't listed as an ingredient, I'm guessing the coloring comes from the type of vegetable oil used. Anyway, I've found the color to be very helpful in determining where the Pure Cap is in the food, and helps me mix adequately. You definitely don't want to discover that you just ate a bite with a whole drop.My main complaint with this product is the rubber on the dropper. After a couple of months it starts to deteriorate and deform. It starts to weep pure cap, so using gloves when touching the dropper is recommended. It doesn't burn when it gets on your fingers, but it does when you touch your eye a few hours later. I just bought a small dropper bottle to transfer the remains of the Pure Cap to, so it will be a while before I learn if the problem is with this specific product's rubber, or if it is caused by the contents and some sort of reaction.Edit: the same problem exists with other droppers with rubber bulbs. Keeping the bottle upright and not allowing the liquid to make it all the way up to the rubber mitigate the problem

All heat, no flavor - PERFECT
I first found this product at a hot sauce shop in Texas and was hooked. Now that I can buy it on Amazon I am thrilled. It lasts ages because you only use 1-10 drops at a time - the heat is so concentrated! Capsaicin is what gives hot peppers their heat, so this extract is pure heat with NO FLAVOR, meaning you can add it to ANYTHING and make it spicy without affecting the taste. I usually use it in tomato based pasta sauces, quinoa w veggies, soups (especially asian soups), or curry, but I have also used it in ice cream, which is especially fun to give other people to try because it's so confusing to have spicy ice cream. For one serving of food for myself, I use 2 drops. For an entire big pot of spaghetti sauce, i might use 10 drops. If you don't LOVE spicy food, I would not recommend this, because even 1 single drop is enough to add some heat to an entire bowl of quinoa. A must have for my kitchen and office!

One drop goes a loooong way
Love this pure cap. Saw it in a few of my favorite hot pot restaurants and had to buy it for myself. One drop is killer. I love putting it in soups, stews, sauces to kick things up a notch. Also amazing in Clam Chowder!!

amazing
it worked amazing, it definitely is hot.. let’s just say hot enough to put one of my friends in the hospital because he kept putting more and more on but my other friends said it worked and it’s a one time doing, i was to scared to try it but it did get on my hands and tongue once on accident and it has a numbing effect that felt nice ? but it works

Fantastic controllable legitimate heat
I've been adding this to many foods including ramen, chili, yummy hot sauce that was not hot before adding the drops and it has been awesome. The heat builds but isn't insane and the drops don't add any bad taste to the food. The heat lingers long enough for enjoyment but doesn't make you panic. This is my go to spice for pure reasonable heat.
