I don't stain wood typically as I use paint as finish. However, veneer can be stained as it has natural wood. However, you should test on a sample piece to make sure the stain matches your plywood surface. Chances are the plywood that you use, even if it is Birch plywood, may not be exact birch that the edgebanding is made out of. The only way you will find out is by testing a sample piece of the veneer by staining it. You may have to play with the stain to get it close enough. This will be true of all edgebanding, not just this product. This is a good product overall and is of high quality and I would highly recommend it.

Yes. Use high heat steam iron (no steam, just heat.) Small heating irons don't get hot enough. Use a goos edger for trim. Stains well.

Q: I'm building multiple cabinet/drawers, some white, some navy. If painting, is this edge banding necessary? I imagine just sand and paint, no?

It depends on the wood you are using. The banding is mainly for plywood. It makes the plied edge look solid. So even if you are painting plywood, you will still see the plies since paint can't hide that. But if you are using something solid, like pine, then no the banding is not necessary.

Q: Can this Banding be stuck around the curved corner without breaking it?

Yes, it comes rolled up so of course you can apply it to a curved edge. It depends on the radius, though. In my experience, you can safely apply it to as small a radius as 1 1/2". Smaller than that, it will start to crack
