5 Dark Purple Allium Bulbs - Blooming Onion, Perennial Garden Flower - Fall Bulbs That Make Giant Round Purple Flowers

Bought them in the late fall, planted them when the ground was cold enough for planting. Wasn't really expecting success, but to my delighted surprise all 10 of them bloomed. They are beautiful and I run to look at them every morning.

I planted four bulbs last November, but none of them bloomed. There was an issue with their quality.

They arrived with a bit of green/blue mold on the bottom of each bulb. I ordered in April and will plant them now. I'm hoping they'll work out. I'll try to remember to update next spring.

I had seen so many of these cool, beautiful, Dr. Seuss-looking flowers, that I just had to have some for my yard. So I marked my calendar for September, and ordered the first week.They arrived very quickly, and I waited to plant them until it was a little cooler. Done. And waited.And sure enough, these babies started making their way into my world in late March. Ever so slowly. And this week they finally are approaching their full glory!! And they are BEAUTIFUL! Some of them have more than one "head" arising from the bulb. Amazing. I couldn't be happier. Thanks so much, CZ Grain store!UPDATE: A year later, the alleums sprouted their leaves...which shortly shriveled up and died. No flowers this year. Sad.
