Paul Mitchell Extra-Body Shampoo, Thickens + Volumizes, For Fine Hair

I bought this for my balding husband, and we’ve both been pleasantly surprised by how well it works. His hair is super fine and thinning on top, but after using this, it actually looks fuller and has way more body. Obviously it’s not a hair growth treatment, but it really helps give the appearance of thicker, healthier hair.The scent is clean and fresh without being overpowering, and I love how long it lingers. The formula is lightweight, so it doesn’t leave any buildup or weigh his hair down, which is super important when you’re working with thinner strands. The shampoo lathers up really nicely and feels high quality — not watered down or cheap like some volumizing shampoos we’ve tried.It’s also helped with itchiness. His scalp used to get dry and irritated with other shampoos, but this one keeps it hydrated and comfortable. This product works great! I have fine hair but it is a lot. I have tried other products and they just make my hair look flat but this gives it volume that lasts…I will never use any other brand again. It keeps my hair soft and manageable.

I do think it adds body...not as much as I hoped for.....lather's really well....smells nice while washing, not sure the smell lingers when dry. My hair feels clean after using.

For whatever reason, my hair will not hold curls with this shampoo. I work in TV and for the first two shows it's fine. By the late newscasts, I would have barely a wave. I often rotate my shampoo so I noticed it happening on certain nights. After a trial, it always fell flat after using this. I'm shocked. It holds curl with John Frieda. Not sure what's in this to lose the curl, but I will not buy again because of it. Otherwise it felt fine.

The difference in my fine, flat hair was palpable and visible after just one wash!!! Incredible! And smells lovely 😊
