November 9: A Novel Paperback – 10 Nov. 2015

Great storyline, very original - Loved it.I really enjoyed meeting Ben and Fallon. He was great, fast thinking action when he first meets her in the restaurant.I also loved Fallon immediately, she may have had the stuffing knocked out of her, but she had some guts.I loved how it came full circle. The point of view were originally from Fallon's perspective, actually not quite true, we also got Ben's POV during their Nov 9 meetings.The really got on well, has a connection which we discover how deep as we go on their relationship journey.He is so encouraging and they both make choices based on their circumstances with some big consequences.I loved that we got to know them both, but wish we might have had more in their daily lives.The date held so much significance, which we learn throughout the story, how they both deal with the evidence placed in from of them each time they meet, how they deal with the aftermath.Ben has had a lot of heartache in his young life, and maybe dealt with some situations in the wrong way, but it made him appear more humble and very caring.They were both really great together Ben was so caring, understanding, encouraging and if I'm honest both were a tad selfish. Fallon was also understanding, maybe a bot of an over thinker, older than her years. They both hid self pity and slowly each other helped alleviate this.Oh the plot twists, the curveballs you dis in this story along the way, had my emotions all over the place.I purposely took my time reading this, and now I'm finished I am glad I did, If I had read through it fairly quickly I might have missed some areas.Ben was dealt with more than his fair share of death, and i think he is also stronger because of it, which becomes very apparent coupled with the life changing meeting with Fallon. His POV of events WOW, just WOW.This is not just a will they? won't they? it is also about both of them on the road of self discovery and accepting their fate.There were times when I wanted to give them both a slap upside the head and times when I wanted to grab them both in a hug.Really pleased with the ending.

Read this in one sitting, just couldn’t put it down, beautiful and heartbreaking in equal measure .

although the plot twist was CRAZY I loved the ending it was worth it I genuinely thought a heartbreak was gonna happen 😭

Love this book! Good story, good characters. Really am falling in love with all of Colleen’s books!

As someone who has read many of Colleen Hoover’s books, I didn’t think anything would knock Ugly Love off my top spot…then I read this.Wow.Fallon and Ben are so likeable and as a reader, you’re desperate for them to get together. But as the blurb suggests, their plan to meet only on November 9th each year keeps them apart. We can see that they’re destined to be together, if only they could see it too.I thought I had this one pretty much figured out but I should have known better, with Colleen Hoover, there’s always a twist.And I did NOT see this one coming!The ending is genius and written so beautifully.I genuinely couldn’t put this one down.

Bought this for a present, the recipient said this book was really good. She also said this author is amazing.

My first Colleen Hoover Novel…I enjoyed her writing style and will definitely read more of her books.I enjoyed the ‘young love’ in this book - bit of nostalgia!Ben’s character isn’t a believable normal 18-23 year old guy, he’s more like film character but I think if you take it with a pinch of salt it’s enjoyable. (Who wants to read about a normal 18yr old boy though right?)Like the twist, I’d figured part of it out but not totally and my theory was something different so I enjoyed the moment where this came clear.Would recommend as an enjoyable and easy read.Not 5* as I didn’t find it the story totally amazing.

C’est un de mes livres préféré. Je l’avais lu en français et je lai recommandé en anglais pour m’améliorer dans la langue. L’histoire est originale et incroyable. La lecture est rapide et fluide. On a toujours envie de savoir la suite. Je ne me suis pas ennuyer une seule fois !!
