About a year ago, our 8 YO Heat-N-Glo gas fireplace started acting up.We had to flip the wall switch 3-4 times to get it to light.One service place came out, changed the wall switch for $175 and called it good.It was not.After about 12 months of this, it refused to start.I called the other local fireplace service shops (plural) and what a joke.All they wanted to do was charge me for a cleaning ($200 and up), and then "go from there."None of them stated the obvious - that the ignition module was bad.Finally, I found a video that pinpointed this as a bad module.After all of about three minutes (as one reviewer stated, less time than it takes to make a ham s'maich!) this was installed and the fireplace now starts right up!

Perfect fit for my fireplace after a power surge to it out during a bad storm. Just be sure to check your model for fit.

Worked perfectly and immediately got our fireplace back online. My only complaint is the packaging. It shipped in a plastic envelope. No padding around the module, which contains exposed electrical connection pins. Could easily have been damaged during shipping but fortunately was not. This should at least ship in a padded envelope or better yet, in a box with appropriate materials included to protect it from impact damage.

I know nothing about fireplaces and this was a super easy part replacement. Maybe took 5 minutes. Our fireplace is back up and running!

My fireplace has been intermittently working for the last couple years. I didn't use it all summer long and when I tried to use it to get warm, it refused to light. I checked everything and couldn't get the pilot light to come back on and there was no manual pilot ignition on my fireplace.I bought this control module in the hopes that it was just something this simple... sure enough, it was. I was able to swap over the units 1 wire at a time and as soon as I was done, the fireplace came back to life. Saved me a $200 service call and waiting more than 2 months for the local shop to get to me.!
