Tool works as intended. had to figure out how to install the guard, Instructions were not clear on how to install.

Bit will not stay at set depth regardless of how much I tighten the adjustment screw. I will need to add something to the router to add friction between the guard and router to prevent slipping.

I used this for several projects, one was making the holes for doorknobs. Very powerful tool, does the job in minutes. If you aren't careful, you will cut away too much wood. Overall, definitely recommend. Easy to use, just plug it in and route away.

Bought this route to assist with replacing some interior doors and was hoping that having the router would make it easier to cut out the hinge inserts on the new doors.While it did work better than trying to carve out the hinge recesses with a hammer and chisel I had all kinds of issues with the bit slipping and changing depth at random times.It could just be that I need some practice on using a router, but locking the bit down should be pretty straightforward. The bit shifting end up leading to a lot of extra time spend getting creative to create shims for between the door and the hinges.

This was a little intimidating to me at first. I am doing a lot of home remodeling and this tool will help me with several projects. It is easy to handle slightly noisy but not any more than normal power tools.

I was hoping to find a decent inexpensive router for a small project. The guide that comes with this unit is useless, router was still all over the place and would not cut straight, ended up making my own guide to be able to use this router at all. Also missing one of the wrenches to tighten the bits, had to use a universal wrench.
