Does the fan stay on all the time? Or does it switch on off according to the temp?

The fan is on all the time to circulate the air.

How would I go about setting up a different thermostat? I want to use one I have because it has a low and high alarm feature.

You are welcome to attempt to do so, but you will need to adjust the wiring in order to attach a different thermostat or fan. Any adjustment to the wiring would void your warranty. This kit is made to be used with the parts that are in this kit.

what are the dimensions of the fan?

The fan/heater assembly is approximately 4 3/4” x 4 3/4” and 2 7/8” from the mounting plate to the fan wire safety grate .

Is the fan or heater individually replaceable and if so how much for each?

Yes, the heater/fan portion is able to be replaced by its self. Typically the cost is approximately 49.99 plus shipping.

Great support

Works as described. I called for some directions resetting the controls. The staff was very quick to respond. Very courteous and helpful. Works great and runs quietly. The single heater is enough to keep a 16 cu ft refrigerator at the perfect temp.

Died right in middle of hatch killed all my chicks.

I don't think I can possibly be anymore upset then I am right now. Completely disgusted.. how much more would it cost this company to put an alarm on it when temp drops? I noticed my eggs where hatching this morning. Tonight I start to wonder why not much progress has been made. I bend down to look in the glass and the glass was ice cold. I look over it was 73dg. Completely ridiculous. I have a China made incubator that still going for years. This thing failed in a huge way. 5 stars for failing and Completely being junk

Malfunctioning

Thermostat worked perfectly for 2 weeks and then going into week 3 it wouldn’t go over 75 degrees. Ruined my batch of 84 eggs!

faulty thermostat

Fan/heaters are good but not the thermostat. Temps jumped to 113 and I lost 48 eggs due to faulty thermostat. I salvaged an old wafer thermostat from a styro incubator, cut the wires to junk thermo and installed the wafer. All good now. Save your $ and buy a wafer.
