I’ve updated my review and love this product!!
I’m sorry I returned this product. I couldn’t get it to stick anywhere. I use lidocaine patches all the time and usually have no issues.I really can’t rate the effectiveness.2/12/2021 update on my previous negative review.I originally was very disappointed in this product. I’ve used lidocaine creams and patches for 10 years or more. I purchased this brand because I loved the idea that they might stay in place in areas like knees, elbows etc. I had much difficulty applying these on my most painful areas as directed. These patches are non adjustable meaning once they touch any part of your body you can’t reposition them. After a few months I was determined to try them again. I have a lot of neck pain due to degenerative cervical disease and patches work the best so that’s where I started. When I cut these patches 1/2 with a little practice they worked so well because they stay in place on areas of motion where others don’t. Neck, elbows, knees, hands and feet. All areas I have pain in. If you have very sensitive skin like my self I was happy too see that if removed carefully or when showering or bathing I was able to removed them easily.I knew I had to change my review. I don’t review purchases unless I’m extremely pleased or very disappointed. This is the first review I’ve changed.I have not received any kind of payment or support of any kind from this company. I just felt I needed to correct myself because I do read reviews before I purchase a product and usually the negative ones first.

No mess pain relief
I have really bad tennis elbow, which is always hurting, so I'm always on the lookout for something that will help. These strips work nicely. I've never tried the over the counter lidocaine patches before. I typically use Biofreeze gel, which works great, but takes time to dry and can be tacky, if you put on too much. I like these because there's no mess and they don't have that medicinal smell. All you do is peel it off and place it where it hurts. Make sure to peel it off of the backing slowly to keep the patch from sticking to itself. Once you apply it to your skin, make sure to rub over it a couple of times, especially around the edges. That really helps to get a good adhesion and to eliminate wrinkles. Within a few minutes you can start to feel it working. It's SO simple. They're big enough that I can cut them in half, if I need to use them in a smaller area, like my wrist. The patches are made with a thin, silky, stretchy material. It reminds me of a thinner KT tape. I'm quite happy with these patches and I'm glad I ran across them.

Good for smaller pain
I have a reoccurring shoulder pain and this was pretty helpful. I put it on at the beginning of the day when it was starting to twinge a bit and within a half hour I was feeling pretty good. I don’t know if it would be helpful for really severe pain but for this everyday muscle fatigue (that I’m also trying to heal with regular PT) it did the trick. It didn’t feel especially warm to me but these type of patches never do so I think that’s just me.I like the way the patches roll out and are easy to remove. They were the perfect size for me but for larger areas you might want to double up. There was a strong lidocaine-like smell when you opened the tube but I was pleasantly surprised that it was pretty mild once you put the individual patch on. It stayed in place all day and I didn’t have any real problems with it.My only nitpicky thing is that the plastic tube the patches come in is a little too big for the product and feels a little wasteful, but I’m sure I’ll find some other use for it once I’ve used up the rest of my patches.I was given this product complementary, but I’d still consider repurchasing on my own in the future.

Is there an ideal lidocaine patch out there?
I have pain and muscular dysfunction due to a shoulder injury that has affected my neck, in which I have a pinched nerve, and radiates down in between my scapula. Being that is a very dynamic area of movement, most lidocaine patches do not stick sufficiently to substantially relieve pain. It doesn't matter what I do, many that I've tried don't stay on or work. As far as these thin, flexible patches go, I've tried these patches and a similar product called Re-Lieved. The Re-Lieved patches work best, but the adhesive irritates my skin. I wear them during the day and have to use prescription steroid cream overnight. I always wash the area I'm applying the patch to and dry the area very well before applying the patch. These patches stick very well, maybe too well, because I have a irritated spot on my neck from wearing one today and even getting in the shower did not make them easier to remove. It was like ripping a giant band-aid off and a ton of adhesive remained stuck to my skin. I feel that I got some benefit out of the patch today, but not much more above lidocaine cream which needs to be reapplied. They do not work as well as Re-Lieved, but I did not have a reaction to the adhesive even though it was stuck to my skin. The patches are thin, light, stretchy, easy to apply, and comfortable. However, I don't think these work any better than the plain Salonpas menthol-type patches. Those smell terrible, but they stick and work. These might work for you if you don't have to worry about getting the adhesive off the middle of your back.
