Q: How is this product considered vegan if it contains potassium sorbate & citric acid?

These ingredients are fine for a vegan diet. NONE of it is derived from animals. Citric Acid is derived from Citrus fruits. Potassium Sorbate is found in many foods to prevent the growth of mold, yeast and fungi. When you eat potassium sorbate in your food, it passes through your system harmlessly as water and carbon dioxide. It does not accumulate in your body. Enjoy and consume with confidence.

Our sea moss gel contains a FDA approved shelf stablizer called sodium benzoate, the same ingredient found in jams and jellies and sauces in your grocery store. You can safely keep it in the fridge for up to a year. Our sea moss gel is made in a FDA registered facility. Thanks for the question.

Q: Is this product organic?

Unofficially, Yes! By the definition of it being free of any known pesticides. The sea moss grows open sea, in pristine water conditions free from man made chemical run-off or commercial boating traffic. But there is no Caribbean Certification Board available for "Organic" products. This gel is made in a USFDA certified facility in Trinidad. When it arrives in the Port of Miami, the FDA do random tests on the incoming product before it clears customs. Consume with confidence.
