Q: If I don't connect the actuator/transducer to the pickup, will it still work without delay, reverb effects or the pickup just won't work? Thanks!

The transducer/actuator provides vibration to the guitar body while unplugged from an external amplifier. Plugged in it operates as a combination magnetic/microphone pickup with effects operational just like unplugged. Be careful with the tone pots. You will not hear significant differences when operating in the unplugged mode but your changes will be very evident when you plug in. Made mistake of turning bass to high which caused feedback when plugged in. Best to leave in factory settings (middle).

Q: My martin gpc 16E has the volume and tone control inside the soundhole on the trebel side. Will this still fit?

Yes the controls on this thing is on the unit which will be inside the sound hole you can opt to bypass your guitars controls ie: amp port and use the one they provide or just use it as a sound hole amplifier

Q: How does this work with a fender acoustic electric?

The answer depends upon whether you mean a full size Fender acoustic guitar with regular piezo pickup or one of those new Strat type hybrids. Part of installation of a Kempa is installing the transducer on the inside back of the guitar. This is driven by the Kempa electronics turning the guitars body into a vibrating speaker. The new hybrids are very shallow in depth front to back, which may not allow the transducer to be installed. Also, the bigger the guitars body the more it can vibrate and resonate.

Q: why are you not going to use it on your Martin because that is just what I was hoping to do with my 0015 martin??

I use it on my Martin D35. Sounds outstanding.
