GemOro Ultrasonic & Steam Jewelry Cleaner | UltraSpa Personal Gentle Cleaner | Professional Performance Machine for Rings Watches Glasses Earrings

I bought this for my wife to clean up her wedding band and engagement ring and it works well with a polishing solution in sonicator mode. I have also used it on my Casio G-Shock metal digital watch wrist band to clean up the grime and it works well. The steam function puts out quite a bit of steam. Not sure how much of it is just feeling like I'm cleaning it and how much the sonicate mode cleans things up compared to the steam but when combined our Jewely comes out sparkly. It cleans off oils on sunglasses but does not remove smudges so a microfiber cloth and cleaning solution are still needed for that. Was hoping to just throw in sunglasses as advertised and see them come out perfectly clean with no smudges but that is simply not the case. Overall for jewelry this seems like a good investment to make less trips to our jeweler to perform ring cleaning.

I love love love this, the picture defiantly does not do the GemOro justice, after I took my rings out of the cleaner for the first time they looked better but still not as shiny as I knew they could be that was because there was so much lotion and hard water on my rings, I watched a video and someone suggested when you have rings that dirty you first take a toothbrush, and some dish soap and go over your rings including the under side where the diamonds are set then rinse it and leave them in a cup of warm water ( I used hot, from my water dispenser) and leave your rings in the water for five minutes that way and grime and build up can loosen up, I did that then used my GenOro again and vola my rings looked brand new again even the silver was shiny so happy I purchased this, my only complaint would be it was bigger than I expected but other than that I love it, totally worth the money also when I purchased it Amazon had a suggestion that when people buy this they also purchase Gem & Jewelry Cleaner concentrate by Blitz to use in your water that the rings sit in very happy I did. I was leary of spending so much money on a jewelry cleaner however in the end it is an great investment.

I bought an ultraspa for my wife and it broke on its second use. While steam cleaning her ring steam suddenly shot out the back under the steam pedal. The unit completely lost all steam pressure and shorted out the electrical. I could see moisture inside the display panel where the lights were supposed to be on. Amazon sent me a return label and I got a refund.I went ahead and ordered another unit thinking the first one was defective. When I opened the second unit I could immediately tell it was used. It had water spots all over and calcium deposits on the brass fitting of the steamer cap. I went ahead and filled it with water to see if it worked only to find the steamer was doing the same thing as the first unit. The ultrasonic cleaner did work though. I called amazon, they sent me a return label and I got a refund.Figuring I again had bad luck, I ordered a third unit. The unit arrived extremely used, and full of water which splashed all over everything during shipping. I didn't even bother seeing if it worked.Don't buy this product! It is obviously defective, and you are most likely going to get a used broken unit even though you paid for a new one. I called gemoro to let them know their suppliers are sending out used defective units, they said that's too bad and we're no help.

Had this for a month now and I have not had any issues. I was not sure what to expect based on other reviews, but since it was prime eligible I figured what the heck.No issues with machine out of the box. Brand new.Easy set up. Smaller than i expected which is great Takes up less room. Still plenty big cleaner and steam reservoir. Clenaed about 15 peices of jewelry first time and did not run out of steam.Ultrasonic sounds good. I have no way to measure the frequency of the cleaner other than it sounds just like the full size machines I use to clean guns. The dog left the room as soon as I turned it on, so it seems to actually use ultrasonic waves, not just vibrating like some cheap machines do.Steam works great, a little residue with the first spray, but that should be expected. Very controllable valve for regulating amount of steam. Push down all the way and the jewelry flies right out of the tweezers.(Close nearby drains, don't ask why)Cleans just as well as taking it to the local jeweler. I used some Blitz cleaner concentrate, just a little in the water to help clean and it worked perfect. Little blast of steam after that and perfection.The only downside is that it is so easy and fast, less than 10 min from turning it on to done that my wife wants her earrings and ring done every week. Had to find a place for it to stay out instead of emptying it and storing it.

I used this product as directed and am very disapointed with the product performance and the seller's attitude. First, I have owned this product for 3 weeks and against Amazon policy they will not take the product back , replace it or issue a refund. Second in regards to my issues: unit steams for less than 30 seconds and then takes several minutes to reheat and create steam again. The small tank empties after each use so you will be waiting a while to clean your jewlery. The second tank does not light blue it is merely a tiny blue bulb above tank, not that this effects the performance but adds to the whole cheesey appearance and performance of the product. The seller refused to take the item back or replace the item after the initial complaints in March 2013. If you do buy this product from this seller be mindful that you will be "on your own" after you purchase.In June 2013, the water fill valve would not open or close to fill the tank and I opened a claim with the manufacturer/distributor. I will revise this review upon conclusion of this claim with the manufacturer.After 3 months I finally received the replacement back and it appears to be working as described. I feel the seller should have responded quicker and resolved the issue in April,or just refunded me for the aggravation. This is the reason for the 2 stars.
