It was great but very hard on your teeth

My expectation was a chewy, delicious candy like a treat I remembered from my childhood. Granted, that was a long time ago, but still the memory was there. This product was sadly not the nougat goodness I hoped for--it was hard as a rock. Boo hoo.

They advertise this as "Hard" Torrone. If you want "Soft" you can order it that way. This candy is designed this way it is not old, out of date, made in error, etc.This Torrone is great and overloaded with almonds!!!!

Despite the negative reviews, I think this torrone is great. It has a great flavor and it is generously packed with nuts (40%-50%), which is unusual. It is a bit hard, but you can soften it by putting it in the microwave for 30 seconds or so. I'm surprised that none of the people who decided this candy is inedible because it is so hard thought of doing this and threw it out instead. For those of you who want soft torrone, you need to buy the type of torrone called torrone morbido, not hard torrone. Lastly, there isn't any paper stuck to the candy as one review said. What you thought was paper is a wafer. That is traditional way that torrone is made, with a wafer on each side. I am 100% Italian-American, so I am quite familiar with this candy since I've eaten it all my life.

I purchased this for a Valentine's Day gift. When I unpackaged it, the contents were hard as a block of wood! I used a sharp serrated knife to try to cut it - see photo. Clearly it was inedible so I attempted to return it to the seller. There was a no return policy on this product and i understand why since it's a food item. I spoke with an Amazon rep and she contacted the seller to explain my circumstances. The seller granted a full refund which shows that they are an ethical company. So...good company...but they my want to discontinue this product. The company gets 5-Stars but the product gets 1-Star.

Probé este turrón por primera vez en Italia. Quedé fascinada. Desde entonces siempre lo he comprado. Nunca lo había hecho con este vendedor, pero valió la pena. El producto está fresco, llegó perfecto y con una pequeña nota de agradecimiento por comprar con ellos.

Horrible like a rock and no returns - this is not acceptable. I can by the same product here and it’s soft and wonderful. This was stale like concrete. Worst of all this was a surprise gift. Being Italian, I know what this Torrone is not concretes could use is as a hammer to break tile.

Mis padres son italianos y siempre en diciembre teníamos estos turrones. Recuerdo esperar con ansias diciembre para comerlos. Ahora puedo comerlo en cualquier época del año. Son divinos, los recomiendo y recomiendo el vendedor también por rápido envío y buena envoltura
