A great find for us old techs
As an old tech I have no problem with making my own cables, to support my home projects.

Might be good to clean the wax out of your ears...
- unreliable. These looked great coming out of the package. Initial fit was tight and secure, but after 5-15 insertions, the jacks started loosening up and losing connection. By around 25 insertions the plugs would actually start falling out of the jacks. They are total junk - unreliable. Don't waste your money.

Worked great.
Used it to make a quick connect for the pickguards of my strat.I put females on the output jack and males on all my pickguards. Now I can change out pickguards as easy as 11 screws. No soldering.

Worthless. Does not make good contact to plug.
I'd give this zero stars if I could! After spending some time nicely soldering this to my headphone extension cord, nicely stain relieving the cable, etc. I tested this out, only to find that the headphone plug did not make good contact with this jack. On closer inspection I saw that this jack naturally centers the mating plug in the opening, not quite making contact between the sleeves of the jack and the plug!Good jacks are set up so that the spring contacts inside naturally push the jack against the side of the connector so that the sleeves make reliable contact. This does not.I tested with multiple jacks out of this package, and with multiple different plugs. All combinations had the same problem. In the past I've fixed some like this by adding a little solder to the inside diameter of the jack, making it fit the plug tightly. That succeeded but requires a lot of heat which this jack could not withstand. After that the tip and ring contacts of the jack no longer had continuity to the solder tabs.Throwing away this package and looking for better jacks now....

Only got one to work out of 4
The heat from soldering caused the jack to lose it's grip on the plug. I tried to keep heat low but only got one out 4 to work.
