Exact replacement for my 1998 Jeep Cherokee XJ
I have a 29 spline Chrysler 8.25” rear differential. I was adding a Power-Trax No Slip lunch box locker and decided to go ahead and replace the axle bearings and seals while I was at it. These bearings are in a Timken box, but stamped Koyo made in USA. This isn’t really a surprise as it’s what I had found from online sources as well. The bearings seem well made and fit great. I have no complaints. I also used SKF 16404 seals and they were an exact fit as well. I rented a slide hammer, rear axle bearing puller kit, and bearing install kit from parts store to do the install with. These tools made it a breeze. On a side note, I really like the added capability of the Power-Trax No Slip locker and it’s virtually invisible. No popping or clicking like other brands. The “no slip” type is the key as their other lockers still make noise.

American made
These are just repackaged Koyo bearings, made in the U.S.Don’t have many miles on them yet, but given they’re not Chinese, they should last many miles.

Fit perfectly, eliminated rear end noise.
I purchased a pair of these bearings and replaced the old bearings in my 1995 5.7 Chevy G20 van. It completely eliminated my loud, roaring rear end noise. Before the repair, I presumed my differential was going bad but it was a bad axle bearing all along.(Note)If you’ve been running with a bad bearing for a while, you may need a replacement axle as well!
