To use the easy thread feature on these needles it requires that you put thread in groove at topof the needle and pull it down. I does not work even with thin thread. The thread cannot go down as it should. Returning today. Company tried to send me replacement at no cost, which I cancelled. They however wanted me to return this item. Amazon should stop selling things that are inherently defective as these needles are useless.

Beautiful cases, the self threading needles are worthless. Every time I try to “pop” the thread into the self threading top it cuts my threads. I’ve used this type of self threading needles for years and have never had this problem. I gave it a 3 because the cases are really nice, but the needles deserve a 1.

I'm impressed with the quality of the Needle Cases. Solidly made.The needles work as described - can't miss threading your needle - & the different sizes make them useful with a variety of threads & fabrics.I find regular needles rather short, compared to the long beading needles, which makes them more difficult for me to thread.My usual Needling the thread, instead of threading the needle as I do with the beading needles but it didn't work as well. * For those not familiar with this method, you hold the thread between your thumb & middle finger (or whichever finger is the most comfortable for you), & lower the needle onto the thread. It always works the first or second try with my beading needle.

*Update 8-12-2020 -Provided my shipping address to the seller and received a new, complete, set of needles and the holders. Very happy that the company made it right! I saw the comments that the needles were tiny and would shred the thread but I thought if that turned out to be the case I would have nice cases in which I could put other needles. That can’t happen because NEITHER CASE WILL OPEN. I WILL BE RETURNING.

I use these for burying the thread ends when I quilt. I prefer them over the side loading design because they don't catch on loose threads. They are a little more difficult to load than the side loading designs, but I can over look this since they don't get caught inside my project.

Received only one set but was charged for two. The one set looks fine but I would like my Amazon account to be credited for the set that didn’t come.

A great variety of needles, good quality, the wood case is also quality and nice wood case. I bought a couple more.

Nothing to dislike. They are just as advertised. The needle holders have some weight to them and they are solid. Quite a good mixture of needles for fine sewing to sewing wool. I would recommend them

Looked really good idea, and nicely presented. Purchased two sets, only able to open one of the needle containers, the other three were fixed solid. Eventually managed with a set of pliers and holding the other end in a vice obviously protecting the object was l able to open them. Advise check the opening if you are purchasing as a gift for friends as in my case.

The needles are good , the wooden cases do not open ,I have tried it in a vice (protected) still cannot open them. any one else had this problem. I will have to return them as they are not fit for purpose

The only thing that worked was the self-threading needles. Could not get the needle cases open and the sewing machine needles were not compatible with my machine. Will not purchase anything from this company again.

I did buy these self threading needles for myself and the needle containers were just a bonus.The needle containers are beautiful and the whole purchase would make an ideal gift for any crafter.
