I love this combo. It is nice and compact and is so easy to use. I have used spinning reels for over 10 years and also have experience using baitcasters. I just thought what heck, give a spincaster a try. Why did I wait so long? I enjoy using spincasters now more than either spinning or baitcasting reels.Just press the button and as you’re making your cast let the button go. Reel in. This thing casts a mile for such a short rod. No issues thus far after months of use.Cork and eva grip on the rod is very comfortable. Rod has held up well. I do have to make sure the top half is seated properly every now and again, it does work itself loose. Could probably just glue it and forget about it.This is a great rod and reel combo for anyone but especially anyone new to fishing or kids. The short rod is less awkward when your walking from one spot to the next. It is easier to store and manage in the boat. Fits into the car easy. Easier to cast. No birdnests or tangles. No opening/closing bails or thumbing the spool. So easy. Just get out and fish!

Great little ultra lite combo. Lots of fun catching pan fish. Love the trigger reel. I hadn’t used a trigger reel since the 70’s and had forgotten how fun they are. Would be a great setup to start a child with.

This is a good rod and reel for young children, as it is easy to operate. The rod come in 2 pieces so it's easy to transport. There is a drag built 8nto the top of the reel. Pushing the button with your thumb releases the line for casting, making it much easier to operate compared to a spinning reel. The rod is sturdy and the guides appear to be stainless steel. It works well. The only issue is the fishing line is so weak, it breaks. Took my grandson fishing and he caught several bream. They were smaller, less than 1 lb, but the line broke everything we tried to bring the fish out of the water. I strongly recommend you change the line before using. Overall, except for the line, it's a good product at a good price.

I've always wanted to try Micro fishing and this really surprising Zebco 33 combo fit the bill. Super light but a tough little reel. Casts real smooth. And with just a small jig and a tiny slip weight, I was able to do some really nice casting. Caught a few sunfish/bream and it's like landing a 8 lb bass. Too much fun. I can't believe I only paid $20 some bucks for this. Definitely a great buy..

Zero stars if able. The “Zebco 33” was recommended to me as reliable and easy to use. I bought one for my 12 year old and one for my 15 year old. Both became tangled and unusable I. Less then 5 minutes.No clear way to fix them. After cutting line and spending hours untangling, watching YouTube videos, etc. Now they won’t reel in. They do t behave like the YouTube “fix it” videos show.One not working is a fluke, both show these are garbage.Unfortunately I am 1 week past my return time.Biggest pieces of junk ever. $60 down the toilet.Do not buy unless you like standing by a pond for hours working on fishing line.

It’s a Zebco, very durable. Only dislike is the gears are plastic
