It works... Not much else to say
Construction is nice. And being aluminum it's not very heavy. The coloring seems to be consistent. This is a very basic device, so there's not really much to say. The price was right for me to pick one up. I weight 240 lbs and have used this descender to belay down twice without any issues. I guess the only other thing to mention is that the clip hole was plenty big for my black diamond carabiners.

So simple to use!
Was looking for the easiest way to secure myself to rope for roof work. Very easy to hold position & adjust length. Also easy to lock/ unlock line on itself.

The figure 8 descender is a well made device that may be used reliably in climbing ventures. I have tested it with people less than 200 lbs. successfully.
