These are the easiest and best tasting instant mashed potatoes I have found. I have tried most of their different flavors, and really like them all. Amazon has the best price I have found. Our local store has them for $2.49 for 4 oz, they were like $1.44 at Amazon.

Idahoan brand is the best in flavored instant mashed potatoes. Its consistency , texture and flavors are all great. This one ? The Baby Reds? Hands down my favorite. Delicious flavor that doesn't wear out. Some of the flavors once you've had them once or twice you can do without for a little while. This one I could eat every day for a very long time. Try it, you'll like it.

I am 70 years old and I have never used potato flakes to make mashed potatoes. But having to buy bags of potatoes when you only need one or two was getting old. I made them according to package instructions and they were delicious. I did add a little real butter after tasting just because I wanted too. The reason for only four stars was because I had a package split open at the top.
