Fabulous!!!!!
I think this is amazing!! I adore the taste of rum but stopped drinking alcohol nearly 9 yrs ago. I have so missed the taste. It tastes just like i remember and smells identical to real rum. It even warms your throat and chest. Well done Lyres!!! Very expensive but worth it for an occasional treat!

Dark Cane non alcoholic rum
Not nice at all. Thin and watery without any depth of flavour except for a peppery after taste. Don't waste your money.

Lyre's Dark Cane Spirit and Spiced Cane Spirit are the closest Lyre's products to the real thing.If you are the type who likes to drink rum neat but are trying to cut back on alcohol then these are the best products. Keep in mind they aren't as strong as their alcoholic counterparts but they do taste like rum.Lyre's products are supposed to be mixed and with the light/dark/spiced cane spirits you can pretty much just 1:1 for rum in any cocktail recipe and not really notice the difference.A simple cocktail using this Dark Cane Spirit, if you don't to put the effort into a Mai Tai for example:Apple Cooler50 ml Lyre's Dark Cane Spirit100 ml apple juiceSpritePour ingredients into glass in the following order: Dark Cane, Apple Juice, top up with Sprite.Feel free to play with the ratios to get the best taste for you

Not quite like the real thing I'm afraid
First thing this only works as a mixer, if drunk straight it just tastes like water, I mixed this with coke and it does kind of taste similar to rum but without the kick, heavy on the vanilla flavouring but just not like the real thing, I've since gone back to real rum as there is not yet an adequate alternative, as for the price, it's more expensive than real rum even though alcohol free. In the end a failed experiment for me, would not purchase again.

Bit too good
Bought this for a mate and this is their feedback - bloomin gorgeous. Well packed, to the extent it could have been delivered from a plane at 30,000 feet and still survived.Flavour - genuinely had that warming you get from actual spirit. Worked well in cocktails. Was consumed in all-too-short a time.The one thing of course I'd point out ... it's bloody expensive for something that is not alcoholic and so does not incur duty. Feel we're all having our leg lifted here.
