I was looking to replace my toner (thats what this is, a hydrating toner) but I was looking for something light with ceramides.This have a very runny, watery toner. The pump is handy, but it spurts out everywhere and can be a bit messy. One pump is more than enough for my face and neck.I've even started using it on my body before lotion, just because the bottle is huge!I've never smelled or drank sake, so I can't say it smells like that, but to me, it smells like silicone or rubber. Not exactly pleasent, but I don't mind. I pat this on immediately after cleansing and no matter how dry, tight, or irritated my skin feels one pump of this and my skin is soft, plump and happy. My skin is less irritated and somewhat softer after using this for a while.I've even used this right after cleansing and not used a moisturizer afterwards. I did notice my skin got a little more oily than usual after a while, but otherwise this by itself was more than enough moisture. Works pretty good, and gives a bit of moisture to you face. Not outstanding but gets the job done. You can smell the alcohol if that is something that may bother you.

This is the second time that I have ordered this. I have gotten into Japanese and Korean beauty products and this one did not disappoint! It has a light scent of fermented saki, but it quickly goes away as it dries. It is a light milky consistency and dries a tiny bit tacky. I use this right after washing my face as my toner and then add my products on top of it. This provides a great layer of moisture with the ceremides. The bottle is HUGE and I also use this product on my neck and dec along with my arms. I use an automizer bottle to mist it onto my face and neck, because otherwise to use the pump into my palms to rub them together then pat my face wastes a lot of the product. My prior bottle has lasted over 1 year and this is my second order. I am very happy with the moisturizing and my skin looks brighter and has a healthy glow. Truly a great value for the price.

After having used this for about a year now, I think it's time to share my thoughts.First off, the fact that it's lasted a year (and I still have about a third of the bottle left) speaks pretty well of it's longevity. For the price, it's definitely worth it. I use about 1-2 pumps morning and night.It's a light moisturizer, so I use it as a base or when I need something quick when getting ready. If I am feeling just slightly dry, this works perfect, however if I'm dealing with more intense dry skin, I need to opt for a cream. Usually, I'll layer this with another product. It is easy on the skin, and personally I like the slight alcoholic sake scent. It dissipates fairly quickly too.It can be a little sticky if you use too much, so I say 2 pumps at most. I usually rub it across my face, neck, and upper chest when I use 2 pumps, then just pat in the remainder on my hands. After drying, my face feels plump and moisturized.Overall, it is a very decent standby moisturizer with an extremely generous quantity that lasts a verrrry long time. If you're on the fence, I say it's worth a try. Especially if you just need light to medium moisture.My skin is dry in spots, slightly oily by the end of the day, for reference. I have fairly sensitive skin with only mild acne. This doesn't get rid of acne in my experience, but it doesn't make it worse either, which I think is pretty great. I typically use BHA products to actually get rid of the acne, so this does a good job of being minimal and just doing moisture only.

When I first applied it, it felt sticky but it dries and does not feel sticky. I feel it moisturizes my skin and I use it daily.

This is now part of my daily routine and has improved my skin softness and tone. It absorbs well, lightweight and doesn’t feel greasy. I love how there is relatively no smell to the product and it has helped repair my skin barrier

I like this lotion, even though it's not my favorite out of all Japanese products, but I want to say that the price here is outrageous. It costs around 700 yen in Japan. The seller is unethical, and there are various websites where you can buy products from Japan for the same price it's sold in Japan + shipping.The lotion hydrates really well, leaving a thin moisturizing film (due to ceramides). It can be a bit tacky, that's why it's better to apply it on damp skin!The smell of sake doesn't bother me at all, it reality I even like it, tbh!5 stars to the lotion, 1 star to the seller who makes up their own price.

Skin type: combination and acne proneI’ve only been using this for a week but so far no breakouts. I wanted to get a toner that was light but hydrating enough that I wouldn’t need a moisturizer on top. This toner isn’t creamy per se but the hydration lasts so long and combined with the humidity of my city, i find that this is enough for my skin in the summer. I put it in a spray bottle and even use it only my scalp for extra moisture. I would recommend so far.
