Expanding storage capacity via the SD card slot: The ICD-PX470 has 4GB of internal memory. When recording MP3 files at 128 kbps, this means a maximum recording time of 59 hours and 35 minutes. The storage capacity can be expanded with a microSD card with up to 32 GB of additional storage. This equates to more than 536 hours of recording time (microSD with 32 GB, MP3 files at 128 Kbps). With the calendar search, you can quickly find the right file: because the recordings are marked with the date, you can easily find the files you are looking for. Simply access the calendar and scroll through each day to find the recording you are looking for. The high-pass filter eliminates unwanted noises: low-frequency background noise can be filtered out via the high-pass filter when recording. Unwanted noise sources such as projectors, traffic or wind are filtered out of the recording, so that the voices are better understood during playback. Recording and playback in Linear PCM or MP3 formats: When recording, you can choose between two common file formats. Linear PCM files are larger, but allow for more detailed recording - an excellent choice for recording music. MP3 files are compressed and require less storage capacity - an excellent choice when recording lectures or meetings. The ICD-PX470 also lets you play MP3 and PCM files in music player mode to listen to your favourite music. Extra long battery life for longer recordings: When recording 192 or 128 kbps MP3 via the built-in microphone, the included AAA battery lasts up to 55 hours. Until the next battery change, that's more than two days of continuous recording – ideal for longer meetings or events.
