Q: How many lumens do these produce?

I don't know for sure but I purchased these and put them on my 1989 Honda CRX SI. They are pretty bright and look great. They have a bluish white light to them. I have put together a Youtube video showing how good they look: https://youtu.be/a5ippR5ZYlg I hope this helps!

Q: whats the difference between the 5th and 6th generation?

6th gen is also dimmable if you’re planning on using them in a gauge cluster or such, where as the 5th gen is non dimmable

Q: I'm looking to replace some dash lights in a 200 ford explorer. it calls for 194LL bulbs. I believe these should work. does anyone know for certain?

It's hard to say for certain. These lights are a few millimeters taller than the original glass bulbs, so you'd have to pull one of the lights and measure the clearance in the dash. My '77 FJ40 has 5 spots for dash lights and these lights fit 3 of the spots, the other 2 were too shallow. There are some other (more expensive) lights that are exactly the same size as the original, or Cutequeen (I'm sure there are others) is a seller here that has lights where the LED array is flat above the base making it very short. These lights are inexpensive enough to to give it a try, if they don't work in the dash, there are a lot of other places they will. Good luck, hope this helps.
