To be perfectly honest, the reason I bought these gummi vampire bats was to use as a garnish on a "Vampire's Kiss" cocktail. Just drive a "stake" (i.e. a toothpick) through the heart of the bat, and voila! The perfect garnish to a Halloween cocktail.However, I also have to admit that I love gummi bears, so I was also looking forward to enjoying these on their own. They have a very interesting and unique taste to them. The bodies are made of black licorice and the wings are made of your traditional gummi bear fruit flavors. It sounds weird, and indeed the first one tasted kind of funky, but it grows on you. I finished the bag in one sitting. :-)As many other reviews have stated, you don't get a lot in the bag, and there's no denying that they are expensive for what they are; but considering that this is normally only found in German specialty shops--if you're lucky--you kind of have to expect to pay a premium price for them. Honestly, for me, this is a "one and done" purchase due to the price, but I'm happy with the purchase, enjoyed eating them, and loved the Halloween theme/experience. I won't hesitate to buy them again if they enter the mainstream U.S. candy market and become readily available and affordable.On the bad side, as (at least) one other reviewer noted, when they arrived they were all mushed together in one giant glob of goo. I had to peel each individual bat off the blob. Other than that, however, the bats were soft and flexible like a good gummi should be, so they were quite fresh and delicious.If you like licorice and gummi bears, you owe it to yourself to try these at least once. By the way, for the record, it's not an overpowering licorice flavor. It's enough to let you know it's there, but the fruity part is still the main player in the flavor profile (IMO).

These are real deal Haribo gummies made in Germany (I think). A little fruity, a little licorice flavored. I liked them, my wife didn’t, but she doesn’t like licorice. More for me!

The flavor combo was pretty gross to me

Everyone LOVES gummies. But there's not enough for the the price! If I could I would have bought 5 packs to fill the clear container but that would have been about $37 for candy. No thanks. Love the light licorice flavor in the middle and fruit flavor on the wings. Perfect for my Vampirina 5 year old birthday party! Perfect texture and quality!

Bought to use on ‘candy kabobs’ for a vendor event. I was hoping for a slightly larger gummy, but they still looked cute.

The product got delivered like this. Every single piece is sticked together. It’s like melted and then frozen. I’d like a replacement but this item isn’t eligible for return.

Licorice flavored bats. Wings taste good bodies taste like licorice. I don’t like licorice 😕

Hard to find and we’re super fresh. Love to finally get these in the US!
