Upon completion of my new Cumaru/Ipe deck I waited a week and then prepped surface using this Prep wood cleaner. It performed well although getting it out of the package to measure was a chore as it tended to clump up and not pour easily. Minor inconvenience! Used a garden sprayer to apply, brushed it in and allowed adequate time for the chemistry to do "the work." Followed the process as shown on the Penofin Web site "How To" video. Rinsed once, and then rinsed again to remove all traces of the Phosphoric acid. Even after doing that the next day there were drie white specs on my black metal balusters that I had to wipe off with a damp cloth. No obvious change in wood appearance after drying, but I did not use a microscope.Final finish applied well and soaked in evenly and easily. All in all I am quite happy. Highly recommend this product as a well finished deck is "All in the Preparation"!!!

So it's OK for Amazon & their sellers to ship hazardous materials, but buyers are not allowed to return unopened/unused hazardous wood cleaner. Zero stars from me.
