I'd never heard of a product like this. I ordered this last minute to pull my 4000lb enclosed trailer about 4500 miles over some of the worst paved roads that I can imagine and I'm highly impressed. I realized way too late leading up to my move from interior Alaska to Georgia, that U-haul trucks have a 2" ball welded on. There was very minimal wear at the end of the trip and there were no issues with installation or use of the adaptor. I'll definitely keep this in the toolbox for future use.

I don't write reviews, but I'm making an exception. This is a really clever, exactly as advertised, perfect piece of hardware. It does no more and no less than it needs to, is solidly made, and wayyyy easier than swapping out balls or hitches.

This is a great item. Now I only need 1 ball hitch for both my boat and enclosed trailer. No more switching hitches around.

Alrighty. Listen up prospective buyser. This thing is worth twice what it's selling for. I found this thing solely out of necessity. Budget rental trucks have a 2inch ball that can't be changed. Well my enclosed trailer is 2 5/16. Problems presented themselves at this point in life. With a week left before a cross country move i pulled the bang switch on this thing. Greatest invention next to sliced bread, or the thing that cleaning thing goes in the back of the toilet. Buy it, throw it in the door pocket and it's there for emergencies. Just remember the weight restriction, stay within the 2 inch tow capacity. Seriously, stop reading, click buy now. You are welcome.For the details. It's well made. Works exactly as it should. I haven't had the magnet problems that some people have. It does its job and hasn't shown any signs of wear. I wipe it down with a rag when it's still on my ball after I use it (makes it easy to wipe down and keep your hands clean), put it back in the bag, and keep it in my door. I would recommend to anyone.
