It’s my favorite everyday carry!
Don’t listen to the negative reviews about “it’s not assisted opening” and stuff. Assisted opening is the nob to push the blade out. The blade is really sharp and sleek in design. You have to do a quick flick when you push the blade to open it and it is very smooth and fast. The wooden handle only cover one side but that’s only because the other has a belt clip. For me, it is well worth the money. This is definitely one of Gerbers best blades they’ve ever made. It is perfect keep with ya as an everyday carry for now sleek it is. It is as thin as my Donword minimalist wallet (highly recommend!). I like how light it is along with how easy it is to hold and wield. I wanna describe the blade of this a bit more because it really surprised me when I Flicked it open for the first time. I love doing carpenter work and carving and I though I would carve a spoon with it and it did a really good job! I cleaned it up and tried cutting some food. I know that’s an odd use for it but I like to have gear and tools that can perform multiple purposes. In this case, this knife can cut steak very nicely, along with fruits and vegetables. It’s amazing! Well worth it!

Love it!
The media could not be loaded. Hands down my favorite knife. I don’t know why everyone is complaining about how it opens and closes. My son bought one for me several years ago, used it everyday for with zero issue. The locking mechanism may have jammed once or twice? But I really don’t remember. Stays sharp, I haven’t had any issue with opening and closing it. It was a tad stiff when brand new but not enough to be an issue. Sadly I lost the knife when we moved so my son just bought me a new one for Mother’s Day. Still hoping I find my old one! Personally I love how the wood aged and the black wore off here and there.

Unique and functional, super light and great feel. Recommend!
Love this thing! The blade works great and comes sharp out of the package. It's super lightweight and the bamboo handle gives it a nice feel. Quality steel and constructed simply, which is great. The size is a little smaller than average, but I personally like the compactness. It slips in your pocket fast and easy, with the clip mounted high on the handle so you can barely see it. The only issue out of the package, and it's an easy one to solve, is that the blade lock is super tight, so unlocking it with one hand was hard. To fix it, you just have to bend the blade lock out a little bit to loosen it. I'd buy another one, great for a gift for anybody that needs a pocket knife.

Good but not great!
It looks great but definitely feels lighter in hand. The blade is on the skinny side and I'm not sure about its longevity.

Can't complain
Nice little knife for the price. Had to oil it up a bit to get it to open easier but good knife over all.

Excellent knife, but not a great flipper.
This is an awesome knife! I love how the clip keeps it super secure in my pocket (& doesn’t migrate up/out), but it sits really deep too, and that’s perfect for finding that balance of keeping it secure but also easily reachable. The blade is excellent, the handle is smooth—yet grippy with the bamboo, and it locks. That said, it’s a pain to unlock, but it’s also a little bit of a pain to deploy, and I think both will loosen up with more usage (although the latter probably won’t improve as much because it involves a very stiff piece of metal). I do appreciate how it’s absolutely not going to accidentally unlock though. In sum, it’s not really a flipper knife, but it’s a really solid pocket knife! I’ll be using it for utilitarian stuff and it’s gonna be excellent for that. Also the blade comes sharp & with a little more sharpening, it could definitely be used to shave!Update after a couple days: I’ve been fidgeting with it a bit and it opens way easier now. A little flick of the wrist and it’ll flip open super easy. It’s still loosening up even more but it LOCKS, so still a super functional folder!

Gerber knives Let down
I have had and used many styles and brands of knives over the years I have even sharpened a flexible putty knife in the Navy and carried and used it while in the service . I like that it’s sharp and sturdy ,I hate that it’s difficult to clip to my pocket and that it’s difficult to open and close this saddens me because I loved other styles that gerber knives have had . The knife in my hand feels to delicate like it’s a ladies knife she would carry in her tiny purse ( no offense to women who carry ) but you understand it’s dainty not a burly man’s knife . I don’t advise buying this knife unless it’s for your sister , wife , or mother .
