Great boot for the money
This is my 4th pair of these boots. The first pair almost broke-in my feet trying to get them comfortable. They were the light tan leather and I didn't want to darken them with oils.......EVENTUALLY they broke in and I ended up wearing out the heal part of the liner. Recommendation- buy a boot spoon to put them on. I still have them and they feel like slippers, so it eventually worked. 2 other pairs later in the WRONG size froma redwing store and I went back to the OG. This pair I stretched with hand dumbbells in the metatarsal area for a few days (wedged them in). Then I read other reviews about mink oil......Game changer.I fired up the woodstove, set them in front where they would get nice and toasty. Then I slathered them with a liquid mink oil/neatsfoot oil blend for a total of 3 applications as the leather drank it up.Commence break-in day at work........Bring old reliable as a backup. Some stiffness, a smidgen of regret, but powered through. Next day, looked at my old buddy slippers......and put on the new ones. Repeated for the work week and wasn't disappointed. They broke in SO much faster after the initial stretch and oil routine (just like my onlyfans account LOL) . They are now daily drivers and love them. Also, BTW I wear 10.5D. Redwing measured and said 10D, so I went with it on the 2nd pair. (1st pair was 10.5D) Don't trust a shoe salesperson if they haven't been in the biz for at least 5 - 10 years. Newbie cost me $500 in boots that "work" if I don't mind my toes being in a vice in certain positions.Absolutely love these boots. I work in power generation and walk/climb/kneel every......single....day. If you like slip-ons, these are really good. Leather is almost indestructible and the bottoms really wear like Michelins

Good boots
They fit good for someone with narrower feet don't even need insoles. They are comfortable and run circles around cheaper boots and the quality is better than competitors like Ariat. I buy these boots every year for my metall fab job and they hold up great. If I didn't have to be so rough on them and used them like normal shoes they would probably last a lifetime.

Great boots so far
comfortable right out of the box. Most other brands I wear a 10D ordered size 10 fit true to size

Great value
Crazy comfortable. Little loose when you first start wearing them, but they break in and fit better. The quality meets and exceeds the redwing promise and the color of this boot is so nice that it can be a dress boot too. Not crazy heavy with the composite toe, but definitely not light.

Decent budget boots
My only complaint is that the boot uppers use a thinner leather than the Red Wing equivalents, and so they are floppier, making them harder to put on, and providing less protection.Still, Worth it for the price, fits well and looks good.

4 Hard Years Later, Mind Blown
This is a review update after wearing my first pair of these 4 years and now getting my 2nd pair. Sold for life, there is no other boot I will ever buy again, I hope they never stop making these!I’ve never had shoes/boots last more than 6 months, these have lasted from every single day, all day and night wearing of 4 years in the widest range of most abusive environments you could ever subject a boot to. INCLUDING: Numerous rattle snake bites, being smashed by a mechanical gravel compactor and being chewed on by a Wolf.Let’s talk about those photos first. This is my original pair, 4 years later, that I’m just now replacing. These were put on as they came, out of the box, no special leather conditioner, sealer or cleaner has ever been applied to them, they have never in 4 years been cleaned or maintained. In the first week of owning them my Wolf got ahold of them and chewed the one pull strap off, so thats been like that 4 years and still never submitted to falling apart further.2 years ago I was packing down gravel for a base under a concrete pad I was pouring with a large gas powered compacting machine. Ran the machine over my foot and it tore the leather at the one toe, my foot survived completely unscathed. That tear in the leather has been there 2 years without ever submitting to falling further apart. Also notice the actual steel toe isn’t dented or even scratched, its also never rusted even after being exposed bare metal for 2 years. The 4 years these have survived have been through any and every type of possible extreme condition possible on planet earth. I work as a maintenance engineer, they’ve been hit with high pressure steam, they’ve trudged through backed up sewer water/sludge, they’ve spent all day working in -40 walk in freezers, they’ve walked on the floors of extremely hot large commercial walk in ovens and high humidity bakery proofing walk ins. Cutting, welding, grease, oil, solvents, pool chemicals, electrical work, plumbing work, metal fab, concrete and carpentry work, I do it all and for the past 4 years these boots were right along with me.I also bought a huge undeveloped property I’ve been clearing trees, removing brush and building my house on. These boots have been through every inch of that process as well, the mud, the sun, the snow, the rain, kicking things, stomping on things, things stomping on me and even numerous snake bites. They’re still 100% functional, wearable and comfortable, I’m only replacing them 4 years later for obvious cosmetic reasons.

Quality product
Only comfortable and stylish boots for my 24 year old son who is a solid 6’5” with size 14 wide. We size up to 15 since these are a bit too narrow for his wide feet for comfort since he spends 8+ hour either rigging, maritime mechanic work on navy ships, as a crane operator or welding. He’s kind of a jack-of-all trades kinda kid, with his license and certs, so he doesn’t fall into the master-of-none category as that saying goes. These boots are steel toed and the sole is solid but are low pro so not super thick, heavy and chunky like most boots. A bit costly, but holds up great, very good quality. Only reason he’s eventually replaced it is because the inside gets crazy smelly after working in the rain multiple times. Repeat purchaser.
