Dell replacement cord fit and charged my Inspiron 14 7000. I had purchased an off brand saying it was compatible, but it did not fit correctly.

I bought it as a back-up charger. Works fine but lost a star because charger does not turn off when unplugged from the Dell laptop. Original Dell charger does switch off when unplugged from laptop and doesn't require to be unplugged from outlet.

OK, I order very few things on Amazon anymore, which really bothers me because I purchased Prime so that I could do the bulk of my shopping out here. But I've had SO many bad experiences, I have to once again, cut out another category of products, electronics and accessories.Obviously, I paid a lot for this charger, hoping it would work well. Within hours after I received it, I notice the plug that went into the charger did appear to go all the way in. I called tech support and asked them if that was just the design of the connection and they said yes, it was perfectly fine. About a month later, I realized the laptop was not charging. In checking things out, I noticed the connection to the port looked crooked. I carefully pulled it out. NOTE: I NEVER remove the charger from the computer, as in the past, with other laptops, I've had problems with the ports loosening and the pin falling out...cost me a lot to replace the port several times. Upon inspection, the pin was indeed loose and crooked. Since it was past 30 days, I was not permitted to return it. This was in March. Tried my best to straighten it, and it will charge for awhile, then stop.This is a piece of junk.FTR, I stopped buying almost everything from Amazon, save a few books here and there, Swiffer pads which I could get cheaper at Walmart but I despise Walmart, gift cards and little else. I will not buy anything that goes into or touches my body. At one time, I bought everything from vacuum cleaners to hair dye. At first, Amazon seemed the real deal, but now after one crummy experience after the next, it's just not worth it and I'm concerned the products could be unsafe.Another ripoff and frustration...just what we all need these days.
