Warning to all you foodies, make sure you’re stocked up before you read!
I purchased four books, two for my workplace as Humza has many fans there, and two for my nephews. My nephews are on the young side however I attempted to read to both of them, the two year old thought it was funny to tickle my belly throughout the duration of the first chapter and at the end of the book I asked my four year old nephew if he liked it and he said yes! All jokes aside the book is absolutely funny, filled with many relatable scenarios, well written and funny from start to end. It was refreshing to read about a child from a different culture yet still very relatable. The book made me crave for food throughout the read, so I’m glad I had enough food with me. Hope this book inspires others from various cultures, to write books that give insights into their culture, this will help the wider audience understand the diverse community we live in. Hopefully this is one of many more!

An original, hilarious, exciting and surprisingly touching read that my U9’s loved.
I can’t remember exactly how I came to know about this book but I can honestly say that both myself and my two U9’s have loved every single page. This is a funny, charming, exciting, surprisingly touching and excellently written story. We’ve loved following Humza, Umer and Wendy Wang on their extraordinary adventure. You invest in the characters, care about the outcome and it’s great to see the cultural references sprinkled throughout.I’ve not heard my kids laugh so much during bedtime books! So this is highly recommend and we’re ready to begin ‘The Time Travelling Teacher of Doom’.

Brilliant - funny and heart warming and weird!
Firstly, my very white children were baffled by the references to Asian food, and made us try every single one mentioned in the book - brilliant way to educate them about a culture which we know little about.Secondly, every bee we meet is now called Mustafa, much to the bewilderment of their friends!Thirdly, this has to be the funniest book I have read with them since Mr Gum - some absolutely hilarious lines, and the name of the headmaster made me snort EVERY time I read it. Hilarious! And finally, just a really heartwarming book about friendship and family and aliens.Every child should read this book!

Brilliant kids book!
Read this book with my six year old and we both loved reading it.Him because it is very funny, exciting, just the right level of scary, uses language he could relate to, has some fun pictures and taught him a magic trick.Me because it’s very funny, easy to read, has lead characters who aren’t white, and introduces children to other cultures in a way that isn’t always readily available to them. Oh and it taught me a magic trick.Hope this book finds its way into lots of school libraries, and children’s bookshelves. We’ve already passed our copy on.

Enter the crazy world of Humza, his friends and family - an excellent read for year 6
As a year six teacher in a rural school I read this new release book and got carried along into the crazy world of Humza, his friends and family. The authors have created a storyline that makes you stay up and turn the page, introduces children to a different culture within Britain and has masses of corny jokes for eleven year olds and cool turns of phrase. I have recommended it to my class and have a queue waiting to get their hands on it.

Bloody hilarious!!
This was an impulse buy that had me laughing from 4 lines in. I didn’t even make it to the end of the 1st paragraph before I had to put the book down and get this review started.I actually laughed out loud in public and the more i read the more I started to think it was a little juvenile only to realise it was a kids book 😂😂It’s a great light hearted read. Simple, relaxing and fun. I read most of it in a ‘freshie’ accents and imitating Humza from his YouTube channel in my head. It’s also provides a great insight in to asian/asian British life, the next person to ask me a question about my family is just getting a link to this book on Amazon forreals.I recommend buying it cos everyone needs a laugh every now and then and this book is sure to provide it. It would also make the funniest sitcom: think fugget about it or American dad!Currently thinking of ways to trick my sister into reading it......

Muslim Art is important
I bought this book because an eminent stand up comic recommended it. I read the first three chapters for my 10 year old and then she took it off me and has now read it three times. I wish I had taken a photo of it for this review because it is so dog eared. In my opinion there is a distinct lack of content coming from the Muslim community of the UK and I would love it if there was more, if just because it eases my own entry into the system (you know how many people tell me that I can't make music because its Haraam? At least three people, but I know a lot of people think it, thats why I call myself FIZZ POP. Anyway, get this book for your child, black white, latino or Haitian (thats a line from a Tribe Called Quest song [I am in that sort of mood today]). Kind regards

Makes you laugh and maybe cry too.
My year 5 book club loved this book. Read in the time of covid we all needed a good laugh and this book provides it in the bucket load. The mental image of a donkey being slapped about by a dolphin ( or was it the other way round??) will stay with all of us. We were all gripped right until the very end and it doesn't disappoint. Joyful
