Smooth operation and disc core for better pick resistance
Great lock. Smooth operation, but I added a drop of oil to the discs. I have opened and closed the lock a few hundred times with no issues. I think most negative reviews are from folks that do not understand disc cores and are only familiar with pin locks (cheap door/padlocks). Disc cores can sometimes need some key manipulation to align the discs and fully insert the key. This lock may not be for someone who will not spend 2 seconds to properly insert the key before forcing it open... breaking the key.

I already bought again.
Excellent quality and pick resistance. Disk detainer locks are not trivial for the average thief to bypass. Just make sure the building you are locking up is tough too. Does fit shipping containers, except for the hasp at the toe (floor level) of the primary bar (most people don't even know there is a hasp there.) It fits the hasps at the handles snugly. Very hard to attack with bolt cutters.

Seems very strong
Use this (as well as a burly chain) to lock in my bikes and my Kuat and I feel very safe with this on. It’s so thick and would be really hard to cut through (In saying that tho I’m not a thief so don’t take my word for it) The lock is small yet very thick, compact and would be hard to cut due to its design.

Great material and built quality. Pricey but better than most lock in this price range.
Really good lock. Purchased for my storage unit after watching the LockPickingLawyer on YouTube so I am fully aware it is not impenetrable but it is very well made and probably the average person who would want to break this would need a grinder so it is a relatively safe option for a storage unit. Never seen any sign of rust and I have used this in Florida so the material on top of the build quality are top notch. The only thing I would notice is that sometime it it a bit tricky to insert the key but I suppose that adds to the security in same ways. Some reviews complained about the price but when the cheapest lock from Walmart/Home Depot is close to $10 I would say this price for this is justified.

Overall Good, key can be annoying
Build is secure. Has survived a year with constant rain outdoors with only minimal corrosion but the key is finicky sometimes and doesn’t want to turn unless you have the right amount of pressure pushing into the lock cylinder

Amazing Lock! Terrible Spare Key Experience!!!
***Update: After 2 weeks of waiting, I got sent a new lock and keys directly from ABUS and everything works great now!I ordered one of these for a storage unit and they do come with two keys that are keyed to specific number by ABUS. Both of these factory keys work great with the lock and I have had no issues there. The issue comes with trying to order spare keys from ABUS. I registered the lock on ABUS' website not long after I received the product and I wanted to order two spare keys for it, so they ask to punch in the number that is on the card attached to the keys. I do that, pay for my keys, and a week later I received two new keys that look identical to the factory keys that shipped with the lock and NEITHER WILL OPEN THE LOCK. Both with go in completely and start to turn the internal mechanism but they will not fully turn to open the lock.I emailed ABUS and provided pictures of the serial on the back of my lock, and pictures of the security key number that were attached to the keys and I said "Im not sure if I accidently got the wrong spare keys shipped for what happened" and asked about the possibility of reordering spare keys. I get no response from ABUS for a week but magically two more keys from them were shipped to me (for free, thankfully) and I received them two days ago: THOSE DIDNT WORK EITHER!I am currently waiting on a response from ABUS to see if I can take one of the originals anywhere and have spares directly copied since I must have gotten the wrong key code mailed with the original keys. I will update with any other info. or I might just return this lock and look elsewhere.

Nice lock, be sure to have the key fully inserted
Well made disk lock. I've read other reviews where the key breaks. In using this lock I've found it works smoothly if the key is inserted ALL THE WAY. If not the key will only turn part way. Normal human behavior is to force it (bad idea). Twist the key back and reinsert it.
