I was honestly surprised by how good the Atlas Dark Chocolate Almond protein bars are —most high-protein, low-sugar bars I’ve tried either taste like cardboard or are way too sweet. These strike a really nice balance with a rich cocoa flavor and a subtle almond crunch, without any weird aftertaste. They’re a bit dense but satisfying, and they actually keep me full for a few hours. I appreciate the clean ingredients and the fact that it’s gluten-free.

I've recently tried Atlas protein bars, and I have to say, I'm pretty impressed! I grabbed the dark chocolate and almonds. I was curious to see if they lived up to the hype. First off, the texture is really nice—not too chewy, and they don’t crumble apart like some other bars I've had. The flavors are well-balanced, which surprised me. My personal favorite is the peanut butter chocolate; it feels like a treat but still gives me the protein boost I need, especially after a workout.I also appreciate that they’re not overly sweet, which is a problem I’ve had with other brands. It’s nice to have a protein bar that doesn’t leave you feeling like you just ate a candy bar. Plus, knowing they're made with good ingredients makes it easier to grab one when I'm on the go.Overall, I’d recommend giving them a try if you're looking for a solid snack option, especially if you’re into fitness or just trying to eat a bit healthier. They’ve definitely earned a spot in my snack drawer!

As of this last order of 3 boxes, I had ordered this flavor 17 times prior and some of the other flavors a few times also. This was my favorite of all their flavors. In this last batch, the bars were horrible. I busted open each of the 3 boxes to pull a couple bars from each to verify consistency and all were the same. They are now more like milk chocolate in color, dry, chalky and the taste is not pleasant. Every order prior to this the bar was rich dark chocolate, moist, and yes, very oily. I didn't mind that. I kept them in the fridge so if they melted some during delivery, the oil would solidify after being chilled and have a white coating around the bar but they were one of the best tasting bars I ever had. I've read older reviews saying they have reformulated their bars several times over the past few years and it's obvious they changed it up drastically. Lastly, I noticed that it now says "natural chocolate flavor" on the bar wrapper ingredients. I don't remember that being on there before and it's not on the ingredients list in the Amazon photos. I inquired to the company to ask them what method they used to extract the natural flavors and to provide a list of any incidental additives used for extraction. They responded saying their flavoring is proprietary but they do not using any additives. For me personally, that is not a believable answer. Labeling laws do NOT require companies to list or reveal incidental additives used for extracting natural flavors so this is the same answer you will get from almost every company when you inquire about natural flavors. If you do not know about "natural flavors" google "natural flavors environmental working group" and click on the following result - EWG's Food Scores | Natural vs. Artificial Flavors. You will get a full explanation and understand why it matters. Especially for food products that claim to be all CLEAN ingredients. No more of these bars for me.

This protein bar has insanely good macros and I can pronounce every item on the ingredients list. I enjoyed the taste, but the texture was a little dry for my liking which is why I gave it less than 5 stars.

A bit on the artificial sour side. Okay, but I would buy again.

There’s something causing these bars to sweat an oily, crisco-like substance through the wrapper. It’s pretty disgusting, and I have to use napkins to open them and wipe them off before eating. I’m not sure if this is a production issue or a shipping issue, but it didn’t start happening until recently. Someone needs to address this.

I'm addicted to these bars! I have TWO every morning with my decaf coffee. It took me a few "tries" to get used to the interesting texture (think sticky Tootsie roll), but the taste is worth the chewiness. I struggle to get my daily protein needs, so I appreciate the high-protein content I am getting, yet, without the typical icky protein bar aftertaste. I've tried many protein bars, and Atlas is without a doubt THE BEST-tasting, low carb, extremely low sugar, protein bar! Highly recommend.
