great for labs in class!
I use this kit every year with my AP environmental science students. It is easy to use and follow directions. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with testing vials/ test tubs for an entire class...I keep saving them year after year and will eventually have enough!

Not An Accurate Reading
It's easy to use and it comes with a lot of testing materials but the chart has just L M H to determine what the levels are. It also shows what the different colors of the water can be but I was hoping for something a little bit more accurate, I guess for the money it's pretty good. If I were to do it again, I would spend more money to get a better, more accurate test.

Saved our garden
Great product. We could not figure out why are plant were not growing and not blooming. Used this product to test all the garden bed's soil and found out ph levels were way to high.

Worse Than Worthless
I used this product to test the N-P-K levels in my garden. Plants were turning yellow and dying. This kit consistently showed low chemical levels, so I added and kept adding synthetic and organic fertilizer. The readings remained the same: low levels of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. This did not make sense, so I did my own control test using nitrate fertilizer as my sample. The results said low levels of nitrogen. I talked with the R & D guy at the company. He offered no explanation, other than the chemicals in the test kit may have been expired. They weren't; the label said they were good until Feb, 2021. I finally took samples of my garden soil to a local lab. The nutrient levels in those samples were actually 5 times the normal amount of N-P-K you would expect in a rich soil. This kit was 100% wrong and mislead me into adding more fertilizer to my already saturated soil. Don't waste your money. The information you get from the kit will be unreliable, and invalid.

This test kit is inaccurate for nitrogen
I tested for N,P and K. Though phosphorus and potassium results were fairly accurate, Nitrogen was not.I ran the test 6 times on soil from my raised bed and all results were similar including the Nitrogen test. Then I ran a test on pure chicken manure and the test indicated it was low in Nitrogen. Chicken manure is known to be very high in Nitrogen.
