Let me first just say that this is a great knob, it looks great and works great. I have these newly on 8 doors in the house. The lack of a star is for this: I’m sensitive to sound, and by that I mean - I hear everything! It’s not that I’m bothered, but more so if, for instance, I was wanting to be stealthily locking and unlocking this knob with someone like me in the house (or during dead silence) - good luck. I really want to give this knob 4.5 stars, because I feel it’s great quality and an extremely good value at the price of $13 ish. A lot of y’all won’t care at all that you can hear the lock click into place when locking/unlocking it from the inside, and if you don’t, this is a worthy purchase! If you are more on the wanting to be sound-stealthy side, then you may want to weigh your options. I’m assuming quieter ones would be more expensive. Maybe it will be worth it to you, maybe it won’t. Most people don’t pay attention to stuff like this, but just incase. And, I did try adding some WD-40 to the turn dial and into the key hole, but that isn’t the problem, it’s truly the mechanism on the inside that makes the sound. And it’s not that it’s egregiously loud, but it’s not silent - for the few of you who care. :)Update. I have considered that, the fact that my doors are hollow core could play a role in how loud these are. Also I recently I found that if I held the knob with one hand while unlocking the inside lock with the other, it stays pretty quiet.

I received these, and while installing, I questioned if I’d gotten the wrong size screws ... fortunately, they were the right size, It was just the paint on them.What I found to be helpful (for me) was to install the screws into the knobs prior to putting the door knobs together, it took the excessive paint down.I did this with all of mine ... it worked like a charm, and no issues with installation.As others have commented, it is a bit tight with the screwdriver, you’ll definitely scratch the knob if you get a bit aggressive with them.Just cover the knob with a soft cloth and you’ll save yourself some frustration 👍🏼I was über frustrated at first and was going to send them back but fortunately (for me), the prior paint removal and soft cloth solved my dilemma.Hoping this might help 👍🏼😊They’re quite nice for the price (I’d paid $11.99 on July 29, 2020 ... received on August 6th) but I did notice the price virtually doubled the day I received them😜I’m grateful I ordered all of them when I did,not sure I’d pay the $24 for just one of these ... just my opinion.Anyway, I’m hoping they hold up (it’s just my husband and I so ... we’ll see.)Hoping any who read this are well and full of joy 😊 Hugs to all

Easy to install and I suck at DIY stuff.

Easy install and looks nice and good spring.Change out my door knob’s to match.

Good quality, have “horizontal unlock” (didn’t even know that was a thing - my other order had “vertical unlock”, so didn’t match the rest of my knobs in the house). Received super fast. These knobs also give you the option of rectangular latch or circular. Saved me some time. I would buy again.
