Power supply for shuttle computer
This unit turned up quick enough in the post. Fitted it to my shuttle computer to replace the previous unit that have failed after 5 years. This new power supply was a more powerful up rated unit than the pervious one. The fitting instructions were very comprehensive and it was fitted very quickly. I have no complaints and the unit is still running great. Recommended should you need a power supply of this type.

Good PSU upgrade for shuttle PCs based on the J chassis. Great if you want to install a high end CPU or a performance graphics card in your shuttle. Unlike the 250W PSU it replaced, the fan is really quiet and you don't notice it at all when its running under load. The PSU has 2 PCIe connectors and an 8 pin CPU power connector which is backwards compatible with 4 pin boards (just overhangs).

Use a 20pin to 24pi converter if required.
Bit frustrated that I needed to buy this, as my unit is fairly new, I will seek to find out from Shuttle to get the original failed one replaced and keep as a spare, unfortunately my distributor was no help at all, and I needed to progress my build. This arrived quickly, please note couple of important points.ATX cable is 20-Pin not 24-Pin but this is solved by getting an ATX 20pin to 24pin converter (I got mine from Maplin for £1.99) So this works fine on a new M-Board (in my case Gigabyte Z270N-Wifi).CPU Power is two 2x2 blocks clipped together, so you can split the plug for cpu power sockets needing just 4 pin connector, but do not use (As suggested by some reviewers on the amazon.com site) the spare 4 pin for the ATX 20+4 because the CPU power is 2x12v connections and the ATX needs 3.3v, 5v and 12vThis unit is exact size to replace in the existing XPC - it is genuine part.

Good
This 500 watt PSU is the same size as the original 300 watt an does not make anymore noise got it for a good price from amazon.co.uk £87 last one they had in stock have plenty of power spare now to run my ASUS GTX 670 4GB in my Shuttle SH67H7 note I had to remove one side of the retainer memory clips which was stopping me fitting GTX 670.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE!
Fitted this because the original power supply was running at its limit. Because a Shuttle is always tight for space I expected to have a bit of battle removing the original power supply and fitting this one. How wrong I was ..it was a breeze and now I have a cooler running Shuttle.

A nice powerful PSU upgrade.
Did the job I needed it to do - enabled me to run a much more powerful GPU in my Shuttle PC without tripping the PSU.Easy to install too. Thanks.
