Quality sound from a low-priced china
In the drumming world, Wuhan cymbals lie in a grey area of quality. From what I've researched, there isn't strict quality control in their production, therefore you need to sift through many to get a decent sounding one.....I lucked out purchasing this online without previewing it.....because it was cheap...however I am impressed with the sound I got. It's has a nice sharp attack and relatively quick decay, more so if you tighten it a little with felts. It sounds very clear, which is pretty surprising since most cheap cymbals/chinas sound like you're smacking an aluminum garbage can lid with a baseball bat. The only problem I have with this particular model is the center cup (as opposed to a bell shape) which makes it difficult to use on a wingnut-type cymbal lock because of its fairly small diameter. I've been using it sparingly with my country rock band, but it would probably be a more useful tool with something like progressive rock. Still, it fits in nicely with any music as long as you use it in context of your playing. Don't be one of those 1st grader types that like to hit a piece of percussion over and over again just because it's new and unique. Overall I'm very satisfied in the short-term with this cymbal. I'll have to see in long-term if it thins out prematurely or if any cracks begin to appear. I have pretty disciplined cymbal striking technique so hopefully I'll see it last. The only thing I recommend (which I was guilty of) is going to a music store and trying them out in person. I lucked out this time online, but could have easily gotten a really horrible sounding one just the same.

Excellent China Cymbal!!
What can I say that has not been said before about this excellent cymbal?.... great choice to add some trashy color to my cymbal set up (all Wuhans because they are cheap and blow away most of the big boy companies). One thing that surprised me was how BIG the sound was and how nice it cut right thru my other cymbals. You cannot beat this price or quality of this cymbal. Placed it on top of my 18' crash and it looks great!!!

Nice china for the price
well i go this cymbal a few weeks ago not really expecting much but saw that price tag and bought anyway. I'm, not gonna lie it sounds pretty good i just wish it was a bit more smooth in the tone. it cuts and get's out of the way quickly it would be ideal i you had a 18'' china and a 12 and go back and forth 12 to the 18 but i wouldn't use this as a main china but for little quick accents you can't beat it and for the price.....cant go wrong

Great China sound for smaller kits
I originally bought another brand's 12" China cymbal (I won't say the brand but it rhymes with "vinyl") and had to return it, it was just awful. I spent a few dollars more (literally) and got this Wuhan 12" China and it is a WORLD of difference. This cymbal actually has the trashy sound that China cymbals are known for, but in a smaller cymbal so great for smaller venues or smaller drum kits. Still, it puts out a big sound for a small cymbal, so anyone would get some use out of this. If you're in the market for a small China type cymbal, you can't go wrong with this one, it's a real pleasant surprise.

i love sound. i love all kinds of sound
i love sound. i love all kinds of sound. shrill screams and harmonious beckonings. they all have their place..... i cant find a place for this cymbal. what is it supposed to be? its definitely not anything chinese...the sound is trashy, and it has no ring or carry. i did sum research before buying and alot of people have told me wuhan is a good sound for minimal cash. i even found a larger version at a music store that sounded worthwhile and influenced my decision to get this particular one. buying online is always a complete risk and reviews are usually very helpful and i always wonder if i received the same product as the others here. it doesnt look anything like the cymbal pictured. very very thin and not as pristine. after opening i honestly felt robbed just looking at it and holding it my hand. much worse when i set it up. like said i love sounds, and im in the process of converting to the darker side of cymbology, but this cymbal...... i dont get it. is it for real? maybe ill replace it with a trash can lid, would probably sound the same. like i said i heard and played other wuhans and they sounded good (considerably different price tag, shape, and size) but this was disappointing. i shoulda known better...cymbals are definitely something u should hear first.

Good quality and great seller
Excellent for its size, dark and trashy. Seller; "Mugan Music Group", great shipping and packaging for protecting cymbals from ship damage. Good timely shipping, received only 6 days after ordering, taken in account this also included a three day weekend. So with out that, probably would have been 3-4 days. Recommend purchase, not the best china's, but for the price, much better for a band/hobbyist on a budget. Wont last as long as the "Big three" Zil Sab Pai, but at 20-30 per year or so, it's affordable. And great seller to boot. Go for it!!!...

Does the job.
I'd say this is more of a 'kang' than a china cymbal. It generates an accent of white noise with a brief trashy decay and then it's gone. If you want a longer, more explosive china sound, I'd recommend an 18' or 16' minimum. I'm using this in gospel/rock/folk type music . . . and as long as I don't over use it; it adds some nice dynamic accents. It is quite a loud sound and though the drums are miked, but usually without overheads;this cymbal still cuts through.Again for the price, this is an amazing deal. Because of its smaller size, I can sit this under the corner of my ride cymbal. When I do use overheads with this setup, this cymbal doesn't wreck the mix.
