OXO Salt and Pepper Grinder Set, Stainless Steel

I have been using these grinders almost daily for over a year, and I have remained quite pleased with them. They are easy to fill, the grind size is easy to adjust, and I have always been satisfied with the salt/pepper that comes out of them. While it does sometimes feel like the grinder is not "biting" into the pepper as well as it used to, a simple shake of the grinder seems to get things rolling again, so I am still extremely pleased with the durability thus far.

I recently purchased the OXO Good Grips Salt and Pepper Grinder Set and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed. Yes, the initial price may seem a bit steep, but believe me, it’s worth every penny. The build quality is exceptional, with a sturdy stainless steel construction that promises longevity. These grinders are definitely made to last! The design is sleek and modern, fitting in perfectly with my kitchen decor. Functionality-wise, they’re a dream. They grind very easily, making the task of seasoning your dishes a breeze. What I particularly love is the adjustable settings feature. It allows you to choose how fine or coarse you want your salt and pepper to be, catering to everyone’s preferences. I’m planning to refill it with a better quality salt once it runs out, but that’s just a personal preference. The grinder works well with any type of salt or pepper. UPDATE: 2021: We are now at 7 years, and not a single problem has ever occurred with this set. Recently, it was time to replace the kitchen set (these live on the table) of shakers we use for cooking. After a ton of research, I ended up buying another set of these grinders instead of more "shakers". UPDATE 2019: It has been 5 years since I purchased the OXO salt and pepper grinders. They are still working like they did new. It seemed a little bit of an extravagance to spend so much when there are hundreds of cheaper options for dispensing salt and pepper, but I have never regretted this purchase. And after this much time without having to clean up pepper dust, I will say it is the best investment I've made when it comes to condiments, and one of the top 5 overall in my kitchen. I'm attaching recent photos of my grinders. The caddy was also purchased here on Amazon; Park Designs Village Salt and Pepper Caddy. My husband of 37 years loves his freshly ground/cracked black pepper. On just about everything. We have a couple of them and I have always struggled with the dusty mess they leave wherever he sets it down. I put a small tray on the kitchen table to help keep the pepper dust from getting into the crevice where the table separates to add the extension leaf, and that helped. On a recent trip to a restaurant, they had disposable sea salt grinders on the tables (which I kind of love over shaken table salt) and I noticed that they worked "upside down". Suddenly, it hit me! If I could get a pepper grinder that worked in this upside-down manner, it would keep junk from falling on the table, counter, stovetop. After some searching on the Internet, I found these which can be purchased individually or as a set. PERFECT!! Now I have a set on the table -and- an extra pepper mill on the stove for use when cooking. Bonus: they have an adjustable ring to select how finely it grinds. This is so much easier than adjusting a screw on the base- and I don't have to guess if I am adjusting in the correct direction! They look good and I have not had to clean up pepper a single time since purchasing these, so I am very happy.

I bought these because of the brand name. I actually bought a second set also. I trust the brand, and it does a good job of cracking peppercorns and sea salt. I like the adjustable sizes indicated by the circles on the grinder. They also look nice on the table. The biggest benefit is that the grinder is on TOP so they don’t leave pepper and salt granules in your cabinet. A little pricey so these better last forever!

Have bought different grinders over the years, these are clearly the best. The adjustments are easy and clearly marked. The openings are on top so it keeps the table and counter clean and no waste. Nice size, heavy, not cheap. Really happy with them. Andy

Oxo is a good quality brand. The salt and pepper grinders work well and are attractive. Oxo kitchen items we ordered in the past have been dependable.

I'd read some good reviews of these and they have not disappointed. You can get a good spread of salt and they grind the pepper well. Not much more to say other than yes I would buy them again.

Somit auch keine Krümel auf dem Tisch und es ist auch kein zusätzlicher Deckel notwendig. D.h. zwei Arbeitsschritte weniger (Deckel runter, Deckel wieder rauf,...). Auch ein Teil weniger das mit der Zeit durch fettige Finger beim Kochen unschön aussieht bzw. gereinigt werden muss. + Befüllung auf der Rückseite über einen Schraubdeckel, sitzt dicht und sicher + Das Acrylglas hat eine sehr dicke Wandstärke, das hält sehr wahrscheinlich auch einen Sturz auf den Boden aus + Keramikmahlwerke laut Hersteller. Der Salzstreuer weiße Keramik, der Pfefferstreuer passend in schwarzer Keramik. + Die Mühle verjüngt sich auf der Oberseite beim Auslass, somit kann ich jetzt auch ein Frühstücks-Ei salzen/pfeffern, ohne dass auch der Teller rundherum berieselt wird. + Edelstahl beim Auslass, lässt sich gut abwischen. + Auch keine Kanten/Nischen am Auslass wo sich Schmutz/Körner sammeln können. + Mahlgradeinstellung optisch sofort erkennbar, das haben 99% aller Mühlen leider nicht. Somit kein Rätselraten mehr ob jetzt grober Pfeffer oder feiner Pfeffer raus kommt. + Mahlgradeinstellung über einen Drehring und nicht - wie üblich - über eine Schraube an der Achse, welche mit der Zeit beim Gewinde versalzt und dann immer schwergängiger wird + Grobe Einstellung ist grob genug für mich. + Feinste Einstellung ist fein genug für mich. Es ist unwesentlich unterscheidbar von feinem Salz aus dem Supermarkt + Der drehende Teil befindet sich auf der Unterseite, und nicht vorne am Auslass-Ring. Somit kann die vordere Hand viel besser zielen, weil sie still hält und nicht auch zusätzlich drehen muss. Genial. + Die Mühlen sind dicht, Mahlgut kommt nur vorne beim Auslass heraus. Das ist mE nicht bei jeder Mühle der Fall. + Preislich vergleichsweise in Ordnung - Verpackung nicht plastikfrei - Hätte mir auch den Verstell-Ring und den unteren Teil in der Farbe Weiß gewünscht bei der Salzmühle - Es gibt mehrere Versionen dieser Mühle, die technischen Unterschiede dieser Modelle kann ich als Kunde nicht nachvollziehen. Ich habe mich für dieses Set entschieden, weil es schon lange am Markt ist und angeblich langlebig sein soll. - Zerlegen lassen sich die Mühlen zwar zur intensiven Innen-Reinigung (falls jemals notwendig), aber der Prozess ist nicht sehr einfach (Schnappverschlüsse)

Well made, look tidy, very easy to adjust grind size which is perfect. And most importantly no mess on the table.

Easy fill. Granules settings are great and stay put.
