Fido Clear

I've been using these jars, in this size as well as 2L and 4L, for fermenting over the last several months and I can't recommend them highly enough for that purpose. So far I've used them for sauerkraut, sauerruben, curtido, fermented lemons, and beet kvass and they've done the job perfectly each time. This video shows how a packed Fido jar will look at the very beginning of a fermentation... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPrvbw2XUcc Some folks have expressed a concern that these jars could explode as a result of due to the pressure that builds up during fermentation, but I honestly don't believe this is a possibility. Even if there is some defect in the jar that could result in it's breaking, the results would not be explosive, they'd just be a mess. And the jars are so well made, I don't even think about that. Minus some defect in the jar itself, the pressure will vent past the lid gasket. The jars also look very nice on your counter or in your pantry and could obviously be used to store any number of things.

This is the perfect jar for my vanilla sugar. I use organic cane sugar, add a few vanilla pods and leave it for a few weeks. Voila! Delicious, relatively inexpensive vanilla sugar for baking or to add to my coffee or tea for an extra treat. This jar has a great seal, is easy to use, heavy glass and looks great on my pantry shelf with the other sizes that I have purchased for all of my flours, sugars, rice, baking soda, corn starch, pasta, etc. I wash the jars in my dishwasher before I use them. Simply remove the rubber gasket, which you should hand wash and air dry so that it doesn't dry out, and put the jar in the dishwasher for great sanitizing. Highly recommended.

Good quality

This jar is exactly what I was looking for - a medium sized, air tight clear glass container. The glass was even thicker than I had anticipated, and the air tight seal really is air tight (I've had bad experiences with other jars in this respect). My one and only complaint with this product is that the hinge that holds the lid feels flimsy to the point of making me worry it will fall off. I lid should stay on even if the hinge breaks, but it's certainly a weak point (though not a deal breaker).

I love how easy it is to clean, great option if you're looking to reduce you plastic consumption :)

I love these jars, my pantry is full of them. I use them for all grains/flours/nuts/seeds/raisins (they're GREAT at keeping raisins moist and not dry and clumped together. Brown sugar is also great in them). They are airtight and keep the products fresh, yet easy to open/close, have nice sized openings which will accommodate my hand, spoons, or decent-sized scoops. It's also nice to easily see the contents, both for what's in each and also how much of something I have. They each came with a gasket. I have found the 33 3/4 oz jar to be the most useful, but frankly have probably every size available, and find uses for all of them. I can't say enough good things about them, I love them.

Sehr gute Qualität, dickwandig und luftdicht. Ich habe 2 Gläser, eines für Kaffeepulver und eines für Mehl. Der Preis für 2 Gläser ist schon hoch, sie werden aber auch im Set angeboten, dann sind sie günstiger.

He tenido mis frascos desde hace casi dos meses y han funcionado de maravilla para poner a fermentar mis vegetales y mi kéfir (leche fermentada parecida al yogurt). ¡Frascos ideales para comenzar a fortalecer la microbiota! Jajaja :D
