Solidarnosc Sliwka Naleczowska Plum in Dark Chocolate Tin Box 490 gram/17.28 Ounce

A Polish co-worker used to give me these for Christmas, but then we both moved on. I'm thrilled to find them here.Who knew prunes could taste this wonderful!!! The chocolate shell is a fine quality of chocolate, and there's a just a bit of some chocolate cream stuff that's probably mean to create a smooth surface for the chocolate to cling to. The tin just arrived in an envelope with no padding around it, but somehow it wasn't dented. But yours might be. I'd risk it anyhow.

Here is a true Sugarplum, not a chocolate truffle in disguise. Simply dried fruit + dark chocolate covering. Is it like the sugarplums of the 1800's? We'll likely never know (unless some originals are found in a Baltic Sea shipwreck), but this will satisfy our need for a bedtime sweetness.

My friend from Poland gave me the first taste of this delightful candy and now I order myself a whole box of it a few times a year . Nothing I've ever had that is similar , it's a taste that is unique to this tart dried plum and wonderful chocolate

One of my favorite Polish memories. Better than I remembered. And the bittersweet datk chocolate out of this world! My only dissappointment was that they were not available for re-order!

I got these in my Universal Yums April 2016 Poland subscription box. They are surprisingly delicious! The dark chocolate coating is a bit crumbly, but the plum is candied so its extra sweet, flavourful and chewy!
