Is the DHA/EPA content (as well as PCB and mercury free content) USP or NSF verified?

Hi, It does not say that the DHA/EPA content is USP or NSF verified. Two messages are printed on the bottle. "quality GMP Assured" and "It is tested to be free of potentially harmful levels of contaminants (i.e. mercury, heavy metals, PCBs, dioxins and other contaminants.) " I have been taking 2 softgel a day for over a year and according to the med tests it helps to control my cholesterol. I believe that it helps support cognitive functions too.

What is your source of fish oil (type of fish, source of fish)?

The current (Nov. 2019) label reads: "Contains fish (Tuna), Vitamin E from soy" and adds: "Fish oil is product of India."

My fish oil capsules look 'cloudy', not as shiny as other brand of fish oil. Is this normal or have I received rancid oil?

My experience with Now DHA 500 is that the outside of the caps always have a dull sheen but the oil inside is always clear. I have never received a rancid batch. If you are worried, just slice open one of the caps and take a whiff.

I have difficulty swallowing large pills what size are the soft gels?

I have always had problems swallowing a Big Pill like these with fluid - and I buy these all the time. The trick is to chew 1/2 inch of banana, or something thick like pudding the pop then pills in your mouth, mix them with your tongue am able to swallow all of my 12 pills AT ONCE (4 time per day) the big pills are oil filled ones like DHA, fish oil, phosphatidyl choline, as well as calcium, Glucosomine /Chondroiten/MSM for joint pain. It's really become a non-issue since I discovered this trick.
