AC Infinity, AIRPLATE T8 Home Theater and AV Cabinet Fan

I don’t usually write reviews but this is a fantastic product beautifully made with every detail really carefully considered. Quality is faultless down to excellent instructions and a couple of extra nuts for each size in the packets in case you drop one which is all to easy to do. You really get the impression when you're fitting these fans that someone who has actually fitted them put this kit together. The templates are rigid plastic, there are screws and bolts to suit a timber cabinet install or a rack install as I did and you can easily reverse one or both of the fans to blow in rather than extract. I reversed one so cold air is blown into the air at the bottom and hot air is extracted at the top. You can even expand the kit to four fans if you want of one controller. I contacted infinity's tech support prior to purchase to check on whether settings are retained after a power outage and they confirmed immediately on their chat that they were. The UI is easy and well thought out. It’s a real breath of fresh air to receive a premium designed and beautifully made product at a great price (check how expensive these have been at Amazon in the past with a price checker), so much so I found myself looking round the house to find other opportunities to install them. They have reduced the rack temperature and maintained it constantly. See my pic from the router’s temperature monitoring. This kit was exactly what I was looking for and exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Carefully thought out, beautifully designed, and meticulously manufactured. So far so good! Works a treat and came with a UK plug too! Now just have to cut out the sides of my tv cabient and install! Was able to adjust one fan (change fan direction) with ease! So glad these came back in stock following COVID

I bought these years ago and they are still going. Cracking fans for any cabinet (if you can be bothered cutting holes out). Keeps my PS cool whilst running in an enclosed cabinet can't fault them at all. They arent overly noisy either.

Very fast delivery arrived days in advance of the stated delivery due date items arrived intacted and undamaged very good quality build and finish on the exsternal casings which looks and feels nice once in your hands and should look very nice once installed too The instruction manual is easy too read and to understand Customer service from the shop seller is very good answered my questions very quick I will do repet business with them if I find I'm in need of more from them

Ordered this set to fit into a wooden AV cabinet to keep the temperatures down, particularly as we have an Xbox in there. They look nice and the control unit is easy to use. The templates are also a nice touch, makes cutting out the holes much easier. I also bought two extra fans as just two didn't really work in the cabinet and the extra ones connect easily with the USB ports. They keep the cabinet cool, although it does seem to take the four fans to do so. My only complaint, and it's a fairly big one, is the noise. I was hoping that the claims of being silent were true but they're actually quite noisy. It's hard to explain but they're not loud, they just give out an annoying whine. It's not the movement of the air, it's definitely an electrical noise. They do mention in the instructions that if you reverse the air flow there may be some more noise, so it could be that. It doesn't seem to be all the fans either, maybe just the two I've reversed. I can't help thinking that I could have used good quality PC fans and it would have been quieter and much cheaper. Also, and this is just a small thing, but it would have been nice to have the option of a dust filter for the fans that suck in air.

This cooling system is very well built and has a lovely finish, making it look like an ideal solution to improving airflow in under-ventilated AV cabinets. The control unit has a brushed metallic finish, as do the fan plates, and you get all the screws needed to install the fans in your setup. Inside the box are also some handy plastic templates which I didn't realise at first, but help you line up where to cut the holes for the fan and control unit. You can expand the unit by adding more fans later on down the line if needed thanks to built in USB pass-thru's on the fans themselves. The dream sold here is that the whole system is fully automated and will constantly monitor the temperature inside the cabinet with an external temperature probe, and when it detects a certain temperature threshold you've set, the fans will turn on automatically and switch off once the temperature has lowered. There are different modes including Auto which will turn the fans on at a target temperature, Smart which will spin up the fans early and increase them if the temperature keeps rising, On, Off, and an Alarm which will ramp the fans up to full and beep to warn you. It sounds great, but there is a big problem. The unit has a built in 'variation buffer' that is supposed to prevent the fan from turning on and off too quickly due to small variations in the environment. The problem is, this variation buffer can only be programmed to have a maximum threshold of 2 degrees, so you can't set a wide enough buffer to prevent the very thing it's designed to prevent. The fans are large and can move air very quickly, which results in the fans turning on for 30 seconds, and then turning off again for 30 seconds continuously after it detects a 2 degree temperature difference, which is very annoying and distracting if you're in close proximity to the fans. The only option you have is to decrease the variation buffer to 1 degree, which makes it even worse. The fan speed can be adjusted, and whilst they seem good quality they are by no means silent. The kit does not come with any mesh fan filters in the box which would have been a great addition, as it would help stop dust accumulating inside your cabinet and filter the airflow for smoother and quieter operation. You don't get any rubber grommets for the screws either which would have helped dampen some vibration noise. My unit came with a UK power supply, although it's worth noting its not a very good quality one as it buzzes and whines during operation. Overall, unfortunately due to the limited variation buffer, I am having to return the product. It would have been perfect if you could set a higher variation buffer so the fans didn't keep switching on and off every minute. Im baffled why this wasn't implemented in this product as its supposed to be a fully automated solution. If you are going to be installing these fans in a cabinet where you'll be close to them, then you're probably going to notice them turning on and off in short spaces of time. Very happy with it. It would have got maximum rating, but for one minor annoying issue and that is the deferential, or error adjustment is too narrow. In other words when you set the temperature to say 27 deg the fans keep switching on and off all the time instead off allowing a bit more leeway. Other than the afore mentioned it's a fantastic bit of kit and I'm glad I purchased it.

This works great. It’s easy to install. Everything is high-quality, including the supplies they give you with it even the templates are sturdy and not made out of paper, but made out of plastic, which is really thoughtful. The fans run super quiet. The temperature control is incredibly responsive. The configurations for the control panel are so easy to use. This is the best product I purchased in a while.

Works Very Well. Installed It In a Small TV Stand Where My Receiver Always Ran Hot. Probe Placement Is Important Part Of Setup. Excellent Build Quality and Style.
