OMG!
This is the first book by Marlee Wray that I have read, but it will not be the last. Her writing is exciting, compelling, erotic and extremely hot.Melsint is a poor, young girl who has enough courage to help her family monetarily and follow her own desires to become a pet. This story is full of strong, male dominance and compliant, kitten submission. It is full of strong feelings and, for me, some unusual activities that absolutely enticed and enthralled me. I love the way we got to know each of the main characters and were able to feel part of their caring, stimulating, often harsh and erogenous encounters. I was totally amazed by the special care each person was able to extend to the others in their ménage. Wow! I had no idea pet play could be so enrapturing and enticing, dark, kinky and hot as hell!

Sadistic much?
First and Foremost the author is very talented. I felt a lot of what the heroine was going through. And I was at times outraged on her behalf. We kittens have to stick together. The story provides a fascinating world to discover. Before becoming a Pet, a candidate goes to a screening center/training center. Then eventually they negotiate a contract to be a wealth man’s pet. In this case two men. But I did not find these men to be equal. One clearly has feelings for the pet, while the other did not. This created an array of emotions within both the character and myself. For sure! Evston(what a d bag name honestly I couldn’t remember how to spell it) has real issues with the way Melsint is being pampered by Rocort-apparently he’s never heard the term pampered pet-he needs to meet my dog. At times Evston is the greater sadist because he’s into verbal humiliation and more about keeping his pet in her proper place. Rocort was the more swoon worthy character for me; he’s brutish with a soft spot for his kitten =^..^= meowers likes this. Apparently this reader needs caring and possessiveness in her sadistic doms. There were a few instances for me where the scenes were not a turn on because my mind struggled to understand how they could be a turn on for Melsint due to their brutality or excess humiliation-something failed to come across or translate well(again this is just me if you like sadism here it is:) i genuinely thought she was going to be hurt, have something vital rip, like ouch!!Overall, I was really pulled into the story and wanted to know how it ended. I needed to know how this couple could achieve a happy ending against the rules of their society. I want to read another of the authors books to get a better feel for her style.

Owned & shared as a pet not a human relationship??
A very unusual book about being owned as a pet w/no veto power sexually or otherwise. It was a very unusual book about a young girl making a choice to live as two men’s pet with no status other than being called a kitten. I don’t agree with the premiss of the story but it was interesting to read & the book was well written.

This was something, alright..
I don't understand the author's choice when setting this book in a sci-fi-world. There is NOTHING happening that couldn't be happening on earth lol.3⭐️2,5📝4,5🌶

Decadent and Delicious!
I haven't read many stories involving pet play, but when I saw this one by Marlee Wray, I knew I had to pick it up...and I'm so happy I did! The story and acts depicted are every shade of darkness, yet with enough vibrancy, romance, and plot to keep you on the edge of your seat. This is one of those novels I read during a flight, and some of the bits were so delightfully naughty, I kept looking around to make sure nobody was peeking over my shoulder and reading along with me! ;-) Oooh, and there's a scene that takes place at a garden party that almost made me pass out - so scorchingly hot!!!Please do yourself a favor and pick up this fantastic tale by Ms. Wray! With any luck, there'll be a sequel!!!

Yes, there is a HEA
Melsint believes that she is doing the right thing. She wants to help out her family and being a pet seems the easiest way. It is only for 60 days. Her Aunt can come get her when Mel wishes. But nothing is as simple as that. Evston and his brother Rucurt take an interest in Mel but more so Rucurt.I have to say that as much as there is a “pet” aspect to the story, Mel actually is treated beyond that. Ruc definitely sees more from her. He strays more away from the rules that you never really read about. I thought Evs would have mentioned them in the beginning but he never has. And I really would like to know what they are. You think that Evs would be more the lead but nope, he handled the business aspect of things. Though Ruc is the warrior/military side with strength, you see he soft side and compassion. I have to say I do love the turn in the story. It is a “Happily Ever After.” The story does end with a lead in to the next one, “Taken by the Warriors.”

So kinky, dark, dominant and romantic!
Beware potential spoilers! I am not a big fan of pet play, it can be hard for an author to pull off. I am a big fan of dark, harsh "play", lightly balanced with affection, humor and a satisfying HEA. It takes a skilled writer to paint a picture of being owned, possessed and loved within the context of an interesting story. Ms. Wray does a brilliant, incredibly sexy, HOT, pet play story that at times shocked me yet enchanted me with the love story. I loved the big, tough, intimidating commander that could not stop kissing his kitten. We rarely get a wedding scene and this one balanced perfectly possession with respect. Lots of teasing foreshadow about the lord and princess! More please ;)

Here, kitten
Rounded up from a 3.75This was my first Marlee Wray book, but it won't be my last. I enjoyed the book and the characters. Melsint really knew what she was and what she wanted. She had no problems fighting with her family for her desires. The only thing I didn't like was the strange words for time. It was jarring and didn't flow well for me. That's just me though.
