Nice quality mallet
These mallets are very good quality. They are a little heavier than what I would have liked and are a stronger attack on cymbals than what I wanted. The music I was playing was going from timpani to cymbal rolls and the mallets were great on the timpani but going to cymbals they too hard to produce a soft cymbal roll. I will use them for other music applications

Great for the price, but some flaws.
Pricing on timpani mallets can get kind of ridiculous in my opinion, but these are fairly good quality for the cost.They seem well built and lasting. My only complaint is that the pair I got and the packaging smells heavily of cigarette smoke, not sure why. I'm going to let them air out a bit and see if that helps.Another thing that you might want to be aware of is that these mallets are incredibly heavy. The shaft is almost as thick/dense as a pair of SD1s and the head of the mallet has a lot of weight. Very heavy compared to a lot of other mallets I've played with- but not something I'm complaining about.

My son loves these! He is in kindergarten and these are great. He uses them on his many drums.
