and also because the workmanship overall is pretty terrible, worse than you'd see in even an ...
Because each one of these is likely hand assembled, I suspect only some people will have the problem I had. Basically, there is a hole on either side of the unit into which you're supposed to place your stick incense horizontally so that when the lid is closed the incense continues to burn, the smoke escapes the lid holes, and the ashes fall into the unit. The holes on mine were angled so that when I place an incense stick into them, it hits the lid of the unit. Not only is this potentially a fire hazard, but it also frequently was extinguishing my incense before it was even half gone. I solved this issue for myself by bending the incense stick at the stem to create a slight kink so that when I insert the stick now it extends flat or slightly down, instead of upward. This helps make sure my sticks burn fully and do not extinguish themselves on the roof of the unit. 3-Stars mostly because of the required jury rigging to get this to work for me...and also because the workmanship overall is pretty terrible, worse than you'd see in even an imports store. Definitely serves my purpose, just not with style.

Wrong Product
I'd like to review on the durability and quality of this item, but I can't because I have to send it back. I ordered a black incense coffin and received a very light brown(not even a dark brown that could technically pass as black). If I could, I'd contact the seller about this, but there's no contact information whatsoever, so I simply have to return it for a refund. I was really eager to start burning some incense today, but I guess I have to just order another one from a different seller.

Decent incense holder.
The quality of the little coffin is OK as you can tell they make these by the million. I had a couple loose joints which a dab of wood glue fixed properly. It has three little holes drilled into the side wall to hold sticks which are hard to see which is not a good thing if you have a collection of ash already as a fool i accidentally spilled out looking for the hole. A quick remedy was a dot of white out on the holes which is great for low light. I also recommend keeping the plastic sleeve your incense sticks come in to put them in the concealed holder, as pulling them out leads to allot of dust to clean out and having them in the bag fixes this issue.

Incense coffins better incense towers!!
I prefer these over the tower incense holders. the problem with incense towers is that when you put a incense stick in the little holes being upright most of the times it leans too much on either side and puts it out. but with these the sticks go sideways so its hard for any stick to lean and get put out. Highly recommend using incense coffins instead of towers

Pretty & has multiple spots for sticks and cones
I think this is a very pretty burner, I like that it has holes on each side so you can burn 2 sticks at once and also has 2 spots for cone incense as well, and you can shut the lid for safety. I'm very happy with this purchase

exactly as expected
The reviews on here are nonsense. It's a $10 incense burner like what can be picked up at any head shop. For the price it's great. The only reason I took off a star is because the lid is a little hard to open/close. Otherwise it's perfect and exactly as expected.

Woodshop Reject
Shoddy construction is an understatement on this thing. It has a compartment that I could put incense sticks in, or at least I could if it would open widely enough for me to do that without breaking the badly set hinge. The part that I actually burn incense in is cut in a way that it takes a great deal of force to open and close, as the lid seems to stick to literally every part of the burner that it's in contact with. It has the look and feel of something a high school kid threw together so they wouldn't fail shop class.

Nice
I liked these coffin style burners but I have black decor and most of them come in brown. When I saw the black with moons and stars (matching more of my decor) I got excited. I read the reviews and was hesitant to buy it because many mentioned its poor quality. I figured for $5 what the heck. I only got my item today (very prompt shipping) but it seems decent quality. The moon and stars look nice, it is a good size, and there is nothing wrong with the holes. Maybe they changed it, but mine are drilled slightly slanted and the incense tilts up so the burning end won't touch the bottom. I wish the holes on top were slightly larger and the inlays for cone incense were slightly raised but otherwise it's great. Hopefully it holds up over time!
