Good budget floor standing speakers
These sound great. Not super big or heavy (for floor standing speakers). Worth the cost. The low end isn’t super impressive, but you really need a subwoofer anyway. Looks really attractive and just sounds amazing! Worth the cost (these are budget speakers for hifi, but hit above their weight class).

Great sound
I paired them with an old Cambridge Audio Azur 640C and a tube amplifier by Sound Valvolare Art 7+7 handcrafted in Italy. The result is amazing: goosebumps listening to CDs I own for decades! This is what a good setup means to me.

These will wow you
I am blown away by these Dali Oberon 5. I had done my research and was looking for something that could be a great set of 2.0, music only, floorstanders. These are the ones. Pros: Great bass, overall great sound and soundstage. Perfect size for what I need and they look great Cons: These may be a little small for some folks. Look at the dimensions to be sure. The woofers are made of a funky color that have grains in the woofer...I thought there was damage at first. Its not a big deal and you can certainly cover but I usually like to rock my speakers with the speakers showing. I am pairing these with a pretty simple setup: Cambridge Audio CXA80, Denon 300 turntable with Ortofon 2M Blue, ifi Zen Phono Preamp, Roon Bridge running on RPi connected direct to the Cambridge USB port.

Accurate sound
In one word: Impressive. I have been listening to stereo systems for 57 years; these speakers are phenomenal. The quality of sound, separation and clarity is uplifting because you found a hidden gem of sound quality at an affordable price. I would have gladly paid twice the price for this quality of sound. I would love to sit and have a conversation with the engineers who designed these speakers so they could explain to me how they were able to produce such clean fidelity from these speakers given the the small size and small number of drivers used. I can only imagine what their Epicon series has to offer.

My go to speakers
I just love listening to these speakers. Detailed, good bass and great rhythm for a compact speaker. I have speakers that cost 4 times as much but its these speakers I like listening to the most. I am comparing these to Kef, Dynaudio, Monitor ,Elac,Tekton,Focal ,Klipsch speakers I have.

Excellent speakers
Initially rated these speakers poorly. My mistake. I just had to pair the speakers with the right amplifier. The Cambridge Audio CXA81 integrated amplifier works very well with these speakers. On the warm side but with very good detail and separation.

Has Potential, overpowering bass and low mid for me.
The Bad: Too bassy for me, and not enough detail. Has some wool to it and is a bit dull overall. Soundstage not as a wide and deep as I hoped. The Good: It sounds better loud, the mids and highs work well at high volumes. But then the bass also takes over. A dynamic speaker. Has some weight/thickness/full sound to it. Good for brighter recordings. Like the size, weight and looks, easy to move around. I was looking for a speaker that was even, easy listening and good/clear/tight enough for critical listening too. The bass and low mid was just too much, and was not good a low-medium volumes. I think if the bass, low mids were tighter, clearer and less dominant I would have liked it.

Dali Brings Music to life.
After buying the Dali Spektor 1 bookshelf I fell in love with their expressive and engaging sound. I contemplated the Oberon 3 but after factoring in the cost of speaker stands and a possible subwoofer it was more financially feasible to go with the Oberon 5 which would also be a step up from the Oberon 3 in the audio scale. Because of their slim profile they do not take anymore real estate than a bookshelf speaker on a stand would. They are slim, elegant and do not overtake a space especially if you are short on it. The are built solid and although they are wrapped in wood like vinyl it is of a good quality and doesn't cheapen them. These were purchased somewhat blindly and only after having the Spektors to go by that is how much I was convinced that would be a good choice. Amazon has a decent return policy with a third seller so it was a no brainer to give them a try. They arrived well packed and sooner than delivery date. ( Thank you to the seller) There are several color choices but I stuck to basic black because of the room decor. Although they are listed as not being fussy to positioning I found that with my awkward shaped room they just weren't sounding their best. After much trial and error and the help of Copilot ( AI) I was able to find the sweet spot for them and they sound terrific. The bass is punchy and deep, the midrange clear and forward and the treble smooth and not harsh. Its like magic when you finally find that spot where they sound their best so if you think something is missing it might just be a matter of correction in the setup. Previous speakers were placed where they looked good but not sounded good. The soundstage is wide although because of limitations of the room setup not as good as it could be that is no fault of the speaker it can still be heard at higher volumes. I mostly listen to them at moderate levels and low levels I use an enhancer or loudness setting to bring some of the music out. I am using them at the present time with Yamaha RX-A550 and seems to be a good match for a natural and warm sound that I like. Also using a Marantz CD player to revisit my old collection of Cd's and new ones also which I have started collecting in the last couple years. I have added a Hiim Pro and have been enjoying Hi Res audio streaming which really makes these speakers show their true colors however if it is a bad recording then it will sound even worse on these Dali's. I find them immersive and a pleasure to listen to. I do not tire of them as there are always surprises of sounds in music that I never heard before which adds to the 3 dimensional and engaging sound. I listen to all kinds of music but I mostly appreciate these speakers with jazz, blues, vocal and some classical, I would absolutely recommend them but that would depend on a individuals taste and what they want to hear from the speakers. I did get a good sale price recently and I suspect that this model will be replaced with something else improved by Dali but I am happy with what I have.

5 stars for Hifi.eu but 1 star for the delivery driver
Very satisfied with the speed of delivery. I'm much less satisfied with the delivery driver who left my package in front of a house that has no connection to my address. The package itself, however, was delivered with care. The speakers are of very good quality; they deserve the praise they've received in various magazines.
