Familiar with the clinical reports that show sitting at your computer all day is 2x as bad as smoking was enough to motivate me to look into a standing desk. However, I wasn't ready to go all in on a $700 desk: a) I have a regular sit down desk already and b) I wasn't sure if I could stand all day and work at my computer. Based on that I decided to dip my toe in the water and purchase "The Original Stand Steady Desk".I received it sooner than I expected and was able to put it together in about 5 minutes without the use of tools. The construction is solid and the desk is light. It is also very easy to adjust. No complaints at all.I've used it for a full week. On Monday, I did swap it out close to the end of the day so that I could sit down for an hour. However, every other day I have remained on my feet from 8 AM - 6 PM at the desk!I have poor circulation so when I sit at my desk for long periods of time, my ankles swell. I haven't had this problem at all with the standing desk. Nor have I had the feeling of fatigue from standing all day. In fact, I actually feel more energized and less likely to doze off in a chair while I'm at work (I work from home so the temptation to doze off is sometimes hard to fight).Overall, I am very pleased with the product, the construction, and the added health benefits the Standing Desk provides.

This is quite a good unit for the price, and well worth it to evaluate whether standing will work for me. For permanent use, I would probably want a desk built for standing. This desk is barely big enough to arrange my 24" computer monitor, ergonomic keyboard, and mouse. I have the keyboard at the very front, and monitor at the very back (along the 20" depth), and feel the monitor is just a little closer than I would like. If I turned it 90 degrees and put the monitor 24" back, there wouldn't be enough room for both keyboard and mouse along the 20" dimension. The desk feels sturdy, but with all that weight on a light frame, one can see the monitor vibrate a little in response to bumps. It is minor enough not to be an issue for me. The assembly instructions are a little too simple. I'm pretty handy, and had no difficulty figuring out the correct arrangement for the legs, then maneuvering them to get all the screws started. Not much handyman skill is required, but those with none may need to get someone to help. Having listed my quibbles, I'd like to repeat that I am very satisfied and expect this to work well for me.

I didn't want to spend the money on a standing desk, and I wanted something that I could move from standing to sitting with ease. I love this little table - super easy assembly and it fits my mac and ergonomic keyboard with ease. The only thing I hate is the price and that's the only reason I gave it four stars. It seems ridiculously overpriced to me.

This product is perfect for my needs, adjustable in height, large enough to hold all my important desk items and very sturdy. I've been using it for three months and rarely sit at my desk anymore. Great for my back, knees and energy level. If you have a hard-surfaced floor I would make sure to get a good floor mat to stand on.

The desktop is well made, the legs are adjustable and support the desktop nicely. Also purchased a dual adjustable monitor stand. Now I can raise the two monitors, place this table on the desktop, move my keyboard and mouse, and I have a standing desk. Only takes 2 minutes to convert back. The penny was a very nice touch. I don't buy a lot of stuff made in America and sometimes forget how well products are made in the USA.

Solid table, easy to put together and most importantly, it gets me out of my chair. I didn't want to spend a ton of money to see if I could stand and work. So far, this is a good solution. Day two and we'll see if this becomes a trend (I very much hope so!). The only negative is that the laminate on the top seems a little cheap. Other than that, I am happy.

The standing desk is great. I got the tan model. It was $40 cheaper. The desk is very portable. On a stable, flat surface, the standing desk doesn't wobble at all. The surface area on the top is big enough for my laptop and iPad stand or a drink.

I have been standing at work since this desk arrived in December. My office mate got one too, and now people stop by to see our innovative office! We both love it. I feel so much better after a day of standing - so much better than sitting. This is a great solution. I tried to make my own out of parts from the hardware store but it was not sturdy enough. This is very sturdy, and well worth the purchase price. I encourage you to try this!
