Quality Scoby and Affordable Price
Quality Scoby. I read the positive reviews on this product and seller . So I ordered two packages. One for myself and one for a friend. I'm a beginner brewing kombucha. I have friends who are experienced and gave me tips . I also bought a kombucha brewing book for references during the fermentation process. I started this 11-10-25, I check it every day according to book instructions. Easy to use , open package and empty into a sterilized jar with the included liquid and your black sweet tea. I thought this starter Scoby was affordable. If you do the process correctly this Scoby will grow and you can cut in half and start another batch or share it with a friend to start their brewing journey. I check every day for taste .. book says 5-7 days of fermentation. It taste like sweet tea to me so far . I definitely recommend trying this Quality Scoby .

This is my first scoby and I am super excited to be brewing my first batch of Kombucha ...
This is my first scoby and I am super excited to be brewing my first batch of Kombucha tea. The health benefits of drinking Kombucha tea is unbelievable. I have started the first batch and the Scoby looked great there were no issues with it, I started the first batch over the weekend so I will update this review once my first batch is complete and I see how I did. Know matter what happens with my first batch I believe whole hearted that the Scoby is good and if something were to go wrong it was my fault they say watch for everything while brewing and utensils matter and what you put in the fermenting process. I watched any videos on how to brew Kombucha and many things could make it go wrong but the Scoby if it was sealed and protected when you received it can't be the issue or it would have not been good when you received it. Some of the health benefits that researching Kambucha tea declares is: Liver detoxification Improved pancreas function Increased energy Better digestion Improved mood (helps with anxiety/depression) Reducing Candida (yeast) Helps nutrient assimilation May be beneficial for weight loss My first batch was complete yesterday and wow I love my own brew, the scoby was great and I had no issues with my first batch. I am super stoked and have started two more batches since my scoby has duplicated and one batch is not enough for an entire week so I made two batches this time. The live culture was great and comes with the tea needed to start, I was unsure of my first batch because I read so many things on how to make it and what to watch out for so I did add about a 1/4 cup of white distilled vinegar as well. I made mine with 1 gallon of distilled water boiled and after boiled I added 12 organic black tea bags, and let steep for 10 minutes as suggested. Once steeped I added 1 1/4 cup organic cane sugar and let cool overnight. I added 1/4 cup white distilled vinegar and the scoby with the kombucha sent with the scoby. covered with a a cloth napkin and put in my hutch, I never disturbed the brew during the week I would look in at it, but never moved it. Seven days later I had a wonderful first brew. I did take part of that brew and start a second ferment some with strawberries and some with blueberries, and I can not wait to try them. The plain Kombucha was awesome itself, so I am excited for the fruity version. Cheers to your first brew. I definitely recommend this scoby source. The photo I submitted was after the batch was done fermenting for seven days, I forgot to get a pic before I took the scoby off the top of the jug and started pourong.

Fabulous scoby! New member of the family!
My mom used to “make” us drink Kombucha as a kid and now I realize now that she WAY overbrewed it to the point the scoby was almost dead and it tasted like vinegar. So glad I know what it’s supposed to taste like and so I decided to try my hand at making my own, but I had no friends, until now, with scobies because I’ve already shared! This little bugger was put to work doing their little scoby thing (since it is a colony of VERY happy little beneficial bacteria) right away in a 2 gallon glass container. I did only a gallon to start and worried that might be too much, but it was fine. My first batch actually fermented quickly as it was in the 90s that week and within 7 days I was drinking wonderful tea. I did a second brew (this was my first time, but I like to live on the edge) by bottling some with nectarines, and some with plums (not much, just one plum per bottle, and half a very small nectarine). OMG...talk about amazing! Seriously! I could open a shop! The next batch I did more plum, my favorite, and I’d just made something with fresh lemon and orange juice so I took some of the peel (organic, well scrubbed) and thought “What the heck, live on the edge, Tory!” And then I threw my head back in a magnanimous laugh, and bottled some in there. Step back plum, new favorite is citrus for sure. Right now I have lemon, new haven peach, and plum and in just one day the lemon is amazing already with a light carbonation. The benefit, to me, of the second brew is that the fruit gives it a natural carbonation and flavors the tea without adding sweetness. I prefer a “dry” flavor. I am currently on a very limited diet trying to figure out some IBS symptoms that I’ve been saddled with (so much for living on the edge because the edge does not have a lot of porta potties available). Kombucha actually calms those symptoms dramatically for me. (It doesn’t work for everyone, so your mileage may vary.) That means no more diet soda, which I didn’t drink a lot of, but to be able to reach in and grab a “soda” from the fridge without worrying it’s going to cause me to have more issues is wonderful. The bottles I use I got from dollar store and Big Lots, but you can get them on Amazon as well. I wouldn’t use the dollar store ones on regular sodas (I also make natural sodas with a ginger bug, and don’t use those because I don’t know if they’re safe for the pressure that can build up...ask me about the first time I opened raspberry soda IN the house three days after re-painting the kitchen. I tell you. The edge has a lot of adventure in it and a lot of clean up.)
