Great all around biking backpack
Have tried a couple different mountain biking backpacks with a variety of pocket/pouch designs, bladders, and straps. This one seems to be best of the bunch for all around general usage, long biking trips, and simplistic/ergonomic design. Have ridden with this backpack on over a dozen rides so far ranging from simple around town commutes to 4-5 hour mountain biking sessions in the Florida heat. The USWE backpacks kind of beats this backpack in simplistic strap design (single clasp across the chest and bungee mounting straps), but I tend to find if I fill the USWE backpack bladder to more than 2L+, the strap really puts pressure on my chest when really pushing hard on the bike. The Camelbaks are nice, but tend to not have enough pockets/pouches for my liking, and I never seem to get the full amount of water I want because of Camelbaks' bladder opening design. The Osprey backpack can handle more than 2L+ without feeling uncomfortable or unwieldy on my back. The straps are good and secure, without feeling too in the way. The pocket/pouch design on this Osprey backpack works very well for easy access (just have to get used to where all the pockets/pouches are, but you get a good idea very quickly). The additional tool pouch at the bottom of the backpack is a smart design idea and keeps the weight low, so wearing the backpack on long rides doesn't feel like a pain. I can carry all my everyday stuff (keys, wallet, phone, headphones), along with tools (multi-tool, puncture repair, spare tube, tire levers, mini-pump), snacks (gels, bars and powder electrolyte sticks), small bottle of bug spray, and a light rain jacket easily in this thing without feeling too weighty or bulky.Only two items to be aware of/to note of this backpack:First, the bladder that it comes with doesn't have a detachable hose. Osprey does offer a version that does come with a detachable hose, or a conversion kit. I would recommend either of those for ease of cleaning and such. I ordered separately the 3L version because, well, Florida heat and humidity.Second, the chest strap/built in magnetic holder for the drinking hose is on the opposite side of where the hose is fished through and out of the bag. Because of that, it can come detached from the magnetic holder very easily and quickly. Luckily, you can actually remove the chest strap and flip it around so the magnetic holder is on the same side as where the hose comes out from the bag. Little finicky to do, but you'll thank me later when the hose isn't flopping about smacking you in the face and chest while riding.

One of the best purchases in my assortment of mtn biking accessories. Love this thing.
This pack is incredible well designed. I love it. I avoided using it at first because it's the dead of summer. I thought it would be hot and uncomfortable. The water bladder is high quality and the top opens up completely, sealed by a folding clip. Not only does this allow it to dry out quickly, but it's easy to add ice to. The combo of the bladder and the ventilated spine protector makes your back the coolest part of your body. No overly wet condensation issues either. Both the chest strap clip and the water nozzle are magnetic, so its simple to connect and the nozzle stays securely on your chest until needed. Seems like they thought of everything and I haven't used all the features yet. But the tool pack at the bottom unrolls and grants easy access to all your tools when needed. The zippers are all easily handled. The bag tethers down securely so its manageable regardless much or how little you stuff into it. Even has a large open compartment that I can strap me knee and elbow pads into when not in use. Confident this is a purchase you won't regret.

Prefect for Day Trips
Whether you’re doing some sick downhill, a day on the slopes, or simply want a nice ergonomic bag to take on a 14’er: this bag will be your friend. As an advanced climber, mountain biker, skier, and avid hiker- I purchased this bag in august days before a 14’er and fell in love. The bag: *is compatible with 3L Osprey Hydropack* though it does come with a 2.5 L | SO MANY POCKETS - quite literally, I don’t think I’ve owned a bag with more storage versatility, from the “bike tool bag” which is perfect for some pieces of soap or medical stuff (when you’re trying to pack SL)- the expanding large pocket, the versatility is insane. Each trip I took over the past 2 months has had a different load-out and has been great for +14hr hikes (hydration permitting)All in all, the bag not only is great for biking, but the 14L is massive in a compact design, and not as bulky as a traditional 20-35L (most widely recommended for 14’ers and day trips) and blows the out of the water.Do yourself a favor, get the bag, enjoy it, and continue using it for years to come.

Amazing build and great features!
I really enjoy the thoughtful attention to detail and features. The water reservoir doesn’t leak, which is a big deal to me. The fit is great and the mesh at the back is important to keep the air flowing. Well done!

Recommend this brand for any of your on the go hydration needs!
I road my bike a couple times wearing this and it's perfect not cumbersome at all. It's got enough pockets for keys, wallet, snacks and small things for a day of bike riding. It has a water proof pouch in one of the pockets for wet weather. Great for a day hiking trip as well maybe get a larger version for the family. The only reason I did not give it a full five stars is the hydration bladder has a very tiny tear near the bottom and I had to buy/replace it with a new one. I would check it by filling it with water when you get it to make sure there is not any holes. The upside I ordered my replacement bladder from the Osprey website and not Amazon. I ordered on a Saturday and received it Wednesday so they are pretty prompt with their shipping. Again Amazing product just check for micro holes.
