Perfect replacement
This was a perfect replacement, not a single isssue with it. Took about 5 min to replace since it was on a 2005 2500, had the problem of the dual zone only doing one side all cold. While summer that would be good, in winter it was a bit miserable and this fixed the issue.

Saved me hundreds at the dealer
My local Chevy dealer gave me an estimate of $600-$1,200 to replace this. I fixed it for 16 bucks, tax included. Youtube has videos if you need any additional information on installing this. It comes with instructions.Honestly, it's one of the easiest fixes I've ever done myself, and I am an old lady. The hardest part was taking off the bottom plastic cover that this is mounted behind. It can be a tight fit. You'll need a couple sockets.I paid 16 bucks for this and knowing that the Chevy dealer would have made me drop off my truck, this not only saved me $$, but also saved me a lot of time and running around.I have a 2004 Chevy Silverado 1500LS short bed.My issue was no heat coming out of the driver side vent.I'd like to comment on the negative reviews, as I have my own opinion on why some people had issues. For example, my Silverado has 4 actuators. You need to make sure you are ordering the correct actuator that you are replacing. If you order this and the one you are replacing is located under the driver side, or under the dashboard, this one will not fit your vehicle even if their list says it will fit your vehicle. This actuator is specifically the unit that operates the a/c and heater knobs FOR THE DRIVER SIDE controls. NOT the passenger side. And note, the DRIVER SIDE ACTUATOR IS LOCATED ON THE RIGHT-BOTTOM INSIDE THE CAB. Underneath the lighter area.

DO NOT BUY THESE
DO NOT BUY THESE - ZERO STARS but Amazon requires at least 1 stardue to a mix-up at Amazon I received two packages, so I was able to test 4 actuators.only 1 out of the 4 worked.Tested on 2005 Buick LeSabre Limitedbefore (failed actuators):left side (driver) stuck on cold air, right side (passenger) stuck on hot airafter putting in these replacements:left side (driver) stuck on hot air, right side (passenger) working properlyI tried four with different results:1 works2 go on but won't turn1 will not go onlook at the pictures.you can see one example where the plastic part is straight instead of at 2 oclock or10 oclock like the originals that were stuck on cold (one side) or stuck on hot (other side)you can ONLY install these if you reach up and turn the plastic shaft to the position that the actuator is currently in, so they have to be over to cold or over to hot or you can't install it!I tried connecting the wire, leaving it uninstalled, and using the car heat controls to turn them, and it didn't work!BUT two of these wouldn't even turn when hooked up to the car

Sure, it works.
This device seems to function well, although it has gears made of plastic similar to the OE actuators; those gears break by themselves, after some years they fracture and then the HVAC air flow isn't right anymore. As for installation - on my car installing this actuator requires dismounting the powertrain control module (a big cast metal box) after removing the glove compartment from the instrument panel and the sound insulator from under the dashboard. Remounting the glove compartment is tricky because it lines up properly only if you hold it just so while tightening the mounting screws. Remounting the sound insulator is tricky because it contains an air duct that you have to line up properly on reinstall -- otherwise the assembly does not function right. Some feedback stated that the actuator did not function properly. My guess is that person ordered the wrong actuator. On these GM cars the actuators having different operating functions are cased in the same cases, and unlike the OK actuators, these arrive unmarked. I can easily see how this might confuse someone upon ordering, as the SKUs are very similar as well.

Cheap and fast
I don't like to support the CCP but the version of these from a legit part store is probably Chinese anyway and from the dealer it's about 5x the price and still made elsewhere. These arrived next day AM, fit correctly, and work well for now. I am guessing the wiper that provides position feedback is what goes bad. I saw another post where the guy had opened them up and cleaned the contacts.. When I was much younger I would have invested the time just to see if I could fix them. Now...

Did not work for rear ac/heat 05 Yukon. Good for parts though.
I bought 3 of these for the rear ac/heat on my 2005 GMC Yukon. 2 to replace and a spare for when the front goes out. These would not calibrate after installation. When doing the calibration procedure, they would turn clockwise for about 3 seconds, then not do anything else. They would not work after that. I was able to use the worm gear from these to rebuild the old GM blend door actuators so it was not a total loss. Considering the GM oem ones are over $100 each it was still a decent deal. I will probably buy these again to rebuild my old ones in the dash when they fail. 3 stars since the product contributed to my repair.
